I have found it so easy to open and close and it is about 55 when open. The handle is very sturdy and has a strap so you can either put it over your arm or when at home you can hang it on a hook. It is UV protected from the sun so you can use it on a hot day as well as a rainy day! It has a strap to hold the umbrella together before you put it in the case that comes with it. This particular umbrella is so cute with a pattern of different colors of rain drops when it is open. I really like this umbrella and very happy to have it!

I had to wait to be able to use the Totes Auto Open Close Umbrella with SunGuard because it had been dry in Maryland for a while. I finally got the chance to use this lovely umbrella recently. It has the usual Totes high quality of workmanship. It actually is an automatic open and close umbrella, not like the ones that seem to jam up during a downpour. It is cute, too. If you need a new umbrella (and you probably do), buy the Totes Auto Open Close Umbrella with Sun Guard. Or if you need a gift for one of those weird Christmas exchanges where youre not sure who you are buying for, this is a great gift idea.

As luck would have it, it rained for two solid days after I received this umbrella, so I got to test it out right away! I was rather skeptical, but having had the opportunity to use this umbrella and my old one for two days, I must say, it really works. I tracked in MUCH less water into my car when using this umbrella. Its compact and attractive to look at. I only gave it four stars just because I wasnt able to test the sunblock feature.

I bought the polka dot umbrella as a gift and it was a hit. A pretty pattern for any rainy day. Nice and sturdy as well.
