> 3 dayI have a number of small foldable umbrellas, and they are great for portability. But they are also on the small side. Only two very small people can fit underneath, and sometimes they seem flimsy in the wind. This is a nice full size umbrella, especially for the price. You can pay a lot of money for a quality umbrella (Im talking about the actual quality, not the price point because it is a celebrity or designer brand. name). A good one is worth it for use and also for longevity. They can last decades. That being said, this is a well functioning and attractive umbrella that I expect to last for a while. It can accommodate two people underneath (closely) and holds up to the wind. I like the chevron print a lot.

> 3 dayThis umbrella looks quite elegant. It is quite sturdy and the automatic opening feature works very well. Closing the umbrella fully requires just a small amount of strength.

> 3 dayI put this umbrella under running tape water and watched as it all just cascaded into the drain. There was a tiny bit of water left on the umbrella, but not that much. Certainly a fraction of what you get with a normal umbrella. This umbrella isnt huge. Its average size. I cant say the fabric feels heavy duty because it doesnt. I also wont know for a long time if the whatever theyve done to make this thing shed water is something that wears away with time. But I can say it works immediately in terms of not absorbing water. Im not sure what the intention is, but this is the first umbrella Ive owned that had a rode that protruded so far out from the canopy. Given the handle I suppose you might be able to use this as a lightweight walking stick. Dont want to vouch for how sturdy it is for that purpose, however. If you want an umbrella that doesnt get soaking wet, one that doesnt drain water onto the floor when you put by the door when you get home, this is one to check out. At this price point (currently under $30) you cant go wrong.

Greater than one weekNo more shaking off water like crazy before pulling my umbrella into my car or walking onto my hardwood floors when coming in from the rain! Seriously I didnt realize how much water my umbrellas themselves carried on them -- but this one is GREAT for quickly getting in and out of the car...it really saves times and a huge mess. I travel in and out of several buildings a day for work, so this is awesome. I dont think I can go back to a regular umbrella now, the water will annoy me. That being said, the construction of the umbrella is pretty decent quality. The handle is a grippy rubbery surface, easier to hold onto especially when your hand is freezing cold and wet. Size wise, it is not gigantic -- the description makes it seem huge like a golf umbrella, but its about the size youd expect from a stick umbrella: bigger than a fold-up compact model, but not ginormous. It would be comfortable for two people to walk under, or perfect for one person who doesnt want to get wet at ALL (me). It has an automatic opening feature, manual close. Its definitely the umbrella I go for now every time -- the fact that its not compact doesnt matter at all, because the water repellent thing is so awesome it could be the size of a car bumper and Id still carry it...(that being said, its a very normal size to carry, and very lightweight, actually). Im genuinely afraid somebody is going to steal my umbrella now. Its very steal-worthy. Off to write my name on it in permanent marker...
