What makes this umbrella so much better than one you might pick up on a street corner for $5.00 when youre caught in a rain storm is: its overall sturdy construction; its extra light weight; and the water-shedding property of its cover material. This is a full-size umbrella that is big enough for two. Ill add updates to the review as we get more seriously into the rainy season. UPDATE May 2018: Almost two years on and this umbrella has performed as well as promised. Opens quickly. No canopy blowouts. Dries quickly. Structure still intact with no bending, breaking, etc. Definitely a superior product. UPDATE September 2018: My Old Reliable was stolen from a mandatory umbrella rack in a Washington DC museum. I was ticked, but more heartbroken. Can you really love an umbrella? Yeah, its definitely possible. I received my lamented lost one through the Amazon Vine Program at no charge. If you suspect that recipients of free stuff have to write positive reviews of said stuff, let me disabuse you. You dont have to--but I did because the umbrella was so superior to anything at the price point that Id ever seen. So Mr./Ms. Skeptic--listen up. I just got another, identical Totes Auto Open and paid full price. Im thankful that theyre still making the identical product.

Good umbrella, keeps the rain off.

Although I haven’t used much, I like the look and feel of this umbrella. And it opens easily and quickly.

I opened up the flimsy box this arrived in, and the umbrella was bent. When I tried to open it, it just snapped , as the inside was broken. It appears the pole is made of aluminum, it bends like a tin can. Very poorly made, a complete waste. I can’t close it back up, which means I cannot put it in a box to send back. I’d give “zero” stars if I could.

Definitely meets my expectations. I Like the design, opens and closes easily and the overall wide coverage it provides is great. It is a plus I have received compliments on the umbrella.

This Totes Umbrella delivers on its promise! It does stay drier than other umbrellas. It looks well made, holds up well in a good breeze and I expect will do well for the long haul. The only concern I have is how long the Never Wet coating will last.

This is a really nice auto open umbrella. The couple of this worth noting. This does not have an inside second vented layer for the wind. The tip that would sit on the ground is metal, it could use a non slip rubber nub. The last is it is auto open only not auto close. Those few things aside I really like the colors and the auto open does work really well.
