Greater than one weekWhen I first received these two enormous umbrellas I loved them but, that was short lived. The first one I only used about 5 times when the button that puts them up and folds them in broke. Started using second one and after only 3 uses same thing happened. Not worth spending $35 for 2 umbrellas that you get 8 uses out of total for both. I would not purchase again.

> 3 dayJust as many others have said, when you use the button on this umbrella to close it, its a bit scary, and although I was sure I would be strong enough to push it all the way closed, I fear Ill need to press it down onto the floor/sidewalk, pavement, etc., in order to close it, in the process getting either the floor and/or myself wet. I was aware of these difficulties from other reviewers, but I do like both the size and the color (blue), and I was simply unable to find a compact umbrella that would open and close easily. The one I lost opened automatically (though not so dramatically), but easily closed manually. Why is no one making such an umbrella at a reasonable price any more? I havent used them yet, so cant judge their durability. The handle is reasonably comfortable, but it would be better if it were a little longer. Thankfully, the button needs some pressure to activate; otherwise, I could see myself losing an eye if it accidentally closed while my head was under it.
