Not a five star rating yet as Ive only been able to use it once briefly in a light rain, so it hasnt had a true test against stronger winds and rain. Customer service is great given that cards were included with the umbrella making it clear how to get a replacement umbrella if needed. A different umbrella with a Lifetime warranty that broke proved to be a real hassle finding out how to return. I almost threw it away and gave up. Im hoping the 10 frame rods will make Trad Malls umbrella sturdier than others with only 6 or 8 frame rods and less likely for the strings to break that hold the fabric to the frame rods.

I like the compact size and when open, at a push if a button, has good coverage. Simple to close, press the button. Fits in my purse and also in my car compartment, for storage.

My umbrella hunt seemed to have some impossible parameters. I wanted a huge umbrella so my hubby could join me under it, but also one that would fold down to a fairly compact size. And I didnt want it to weigh a ton. And I wanted a bright color. (Why is there so much black?!? Rain is already depressing enough.) After a lot of consideration and reading of comments, I went this this one. Great choice as it did meet all those requirements. My only challenge thus far is that because its so big and folding down so small, its really hard to get the strap to attach and stay connected to bundle it back up neatly.

I loved lightweight and compact design but after two uses the spokes began breaking...now there three spokes have broken. folks, this is from normal use.... Update. I am very impressed by this vendor. After seeing my review here on Amazon, they contacted me and arranged a replacement at no cost. I did not have to go to them...they reached out to me. This shows that they care about their product and reputation. For that alone, they deserve a 4-star review.

I just bought two of these umbrellas since I keep losing or breaking umbrellas. I kept misplacing my large golf umbrella since they didnt fold for me to put in my bag. My compact umbrellas were too flimsy and small for my needs. One gust of wind would invert my umbrella and it would never quite work the same. Now these TradMall Travel Umbrella are perfect. It folds nicely and tucks away in my bag so I dont lose it. It has held up well in the numerous rain and wind storms we have been experiencing in Northern California. The button to open and close the umbrella works well and requires little effort. The handle is comfortable, and bigger than I expected for a compact umbrella. The colors are a nice change if you don want a standard black umbrella. Also makes it easier to find once stored in a closet of piled with a group of other umbrellas. Overall really happy with my purchase.

For $20 this umbrella is of exceptiontioal build quality and has some cool features. My pros compared to most compact umbrellas: •Ergonomic hand that feels nice in hand •Doesn’t feel super cheap or fragile •Completely unfolds with one touch of the button •Partially folds back up with one touch of the button Somewhat Con: •a little effort is needed to make umbrella compact due to its spring action Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase and I was pleasantly surprised to find it came with a lifetime warranty that will replace my umbrella at no cost, If it ever breaks.

This is a very well-made umbrella. My only problem with it is that in order to close it all the way, I have to put the bottom of the handle on the floor and push down on the top---hard. Maybe Im a 114# weakling, but this takes more strength than I have to close. Other than that, yes, Id buy it again rather than spend on a flimsy one. Norma

This is very sturdy umbrella with super strong spring which could hurt a person standing nearby. One rib support bar broke within first hour of usage and Tradmall promptly sent a new one (reason for 4 stars). 2nd one is bit smoother than the first one and really like automatic open and close functionality. Pros: - Lifetime warranty with free replacement if broken - Sturdy, quality auto open-close 42 umbrella - Water repellent fabric - Elastic holding band is a bonus. Cons: - Only the canopy is closed, when you press the button and you do have to manually push the shaft back down. Unless you bring the shaft down, auto open does not work! - Need to push it hard to close the shaft and it could be a challenge to some! Just noticed its on sale with 50% off at $9.99 after coupon and ordered another one. Its no brainer to get this quality lifetime umbrella especially on sale!

great umbrella! Perfect size to carry around in your purse/tote, car, or on your wrist. Substantial weight to feel comfortable using in heavy rain, yet not an issue with heaviness while just toting it around. Awesome color choices- I chose the light blue & looks just like the color swatch online. it’s been put to a lot of use in Florida’s monsoons- quick & easy to open and close

Bought this one because it had 10 ribs as opposed to the usual 8 found in most umbrellas. That makes it sturdy, but it is also wider than most yet automatically closes to a small size. The only problem is that the cover will not really fit back on the collapsed umbrella after initial removal, but I can live with that.
