I saw this item used by Rea Drummond on The Pioneer Woman cooking show and was immediately enamored of it. I was so tired of fighting with boxes of plastic wrap. Pros: The item seems well constructed of heavy-duty cardboard. It has non-skid feet for use on the counter-top. The cutting bar does a great job. Cons: The item ships without the cutting bar attached. The cutting bar has an adhesive strip which you expose by peeling away the protective paper. You attach the cutting bar to the dispenser and youre ready to fly. Sadly, there were zero instructions on where and how to attach the bar and I had to figure it out on my own. Overall, for the price, and given the fact that the dispenser comes with a roll of plastic wrap in it, I feel this was a purchase worth the price.

Nobody and I mean nobody enjoys monkeying with static-y, clingy plastic wrap. And Ive purchased more expensive dispensing systems that were just awful; bulky, hard to use, hard to store, hard to load (ugh). This thing is so simple its almost laughable but it really works super well. The compact box is so easy to store anywhere. Operation is simple and really works!! Pull plastic, slide cutter, and you are done. Easy to load. Five stars to whomever came up with this convenient gizmo!

This whole thing fell apart as soon as I opened it, and I had to reassemble the cutting mechanism. Update: I bought another one. This one worked perfectly. I think the one I wrote the previous review about was a return because it was already preassembled, and faulty. My most recent purchase required assembly, and works perfectly, so, I am revising my review from three stars to five stars.

I am super disappointed. They notified me once that the shipment would be delayed. When it got here, it was missing the cutting slider. I have to send it back. I ordinarily buy commercial boxes of plastic wrap and I was excited about getting those big boxes off my counter. So I am really disappointed. I hope they make it right and ship me another right away. Ive been out of plastic wrap for a while waiting for this. If they fail to ship it before I get to a UPS store, Ill REALLY be disappointed. because the wait time sure cant be considered Prime. They are already saying after Christmas. And that really sucks.

My mother gave me Chicwrap a few years ago and Ill be honest, I couldnt understand why she was so pleased to be giving me cling wrap. But then I used it and I love it! Good quality packaging and strong plastic wrap. I now use the cling wrap to wrap a lot more than food because its so easy and works so well (like 4th decorations etc to keep them clean and organized). Anyway, I bought this one and sent to a friend in England because on a recent visit I watched her struggle with her usual grocery store cling wrap. Ive become my mother... sigh. Thanks Chicwrap!

This product is functionally well designed, sturdy, and flawless when retrieving film portions. The supplied film is exceptionally sturdy. Highly recommended.

I have greatly disliked using cellophane wraps because pulling it out the box and cutting it has always been fraught with frustration. My husband refuses to use it anymore because it became so frustrating for him. However, this little gizmo is so easy to use and pretty to look at. I leave it on my cutting board for quick use and its so pretty it can just sit there and do nothing! Great product. Great gift for house-warming. I recommend it.

No more struggling with plastic wrap sticking to itself as you attempt to tear it neatly off its roll! So glad I saw this used by Pioneer Woman and found it on Amazon! Worth every penny!

Where has this product been all my life. The only minor issue I had as that the cling wrap isn’t as clingy as Press n Seal. But Press N Seal is very difficult to peel out of the package and even harder to cut. So, this product is much better to work with.

After a life time of being frustrated by plastic wrap that seems to wrap around itself more easily than can be pulled from the box to actually cover a food bowl. Recently I was a friend’s house and she had a giant box of plastic wrap from Costco with a built-in sliding cutter. Brilliant. But I cannot use something that large. Looked on Amazon and found this amazing line of gorgeous cutter boxes for plastic, foil, and other kitchen materials. Bought one, just love it. Fits a normal sized roll from those very inadequate supermarket brands, and the roll it comes with is very good quality. I then bought one for aluminum foil. Again, brilliant design. Fits a fairly large roll. However, the roll of foil that came with it turned out to be impossible to use. Tossed it and replaced with standard foil. The box is great. Such a convenience. And so much less waste as sheets roll out cleanly and can be cut to exactly what you need.
