> 3 dayI got this because it was the right gauge for my Instant Pot, which is 16AWG, 3 ft long. I read somewhere with the longer cord you should get a lower (ie thicker) cord and this one being 14AWG fit the bill! Most of the ones that came up when I was initially searching were 18AWG and lots of reviewers mentioned they got hot with use, likely because the wire was too thin. This one doesnt get hot at all. I can finally use my instant pot under my stove vent to avoid smelling up the house when Im sauteing aromatics prior to pressurizing! So far very happy with this purchase. Its also more flexible than the original cord, which makes rolling it up out of the way much easier.

Greater than one weekExcellent quality and prompt shipping. I use these short heavy gauge power cords for power amps housed in a road case with a power conditioner.

> 3 dayThe power cord to my golf cart battery charger would always get very hot while charging the batteries. Now it doesnt due to my heavy duty charging cord. And, the cart batteries charge up a great deal quicker with the bigger cord. A major improvement in my daily need to charge up the batteries after I use the golf cart.

> 3 dayThe power cord I had for my distiller was loose where it plugged into the unit, this one it tight and works perfectly. I purchased this because of the Tripp Lite brand with a lifetime warranty and is made in Vietnam.

Greater than one weekMake sure you get these in a Tripp-Lite branded package (plastic bag or similar). You cant depend on many of the cheap knock-offs to actually have 14 gauge wire inside despite a large diameter cable - sometimes its all filled with rubber padding. I use these for my stereo which can actually draw as much as 15 amperes from the power line, just to minimize voltage drop and possible fire hazards. Safety is worth the money.
