I just used this product to fix a crack on my carbon rear triangle seat tube and it worked as specified. You will have to wet sand the final product to get a nice smooth finish.

I have ordered this twice. Sent the first one back because of no cloth. Waited for several days to get the replacement, and still no fabric.

I tried it with the ratio of hardener to liquid and even after 2 days, the fiber was still bendable and soft. DO NOT attempt to fix things with the given epoxy. BUT, it hardened normally with just using bondo resin with their hardener. Just get that instead for the resin. Cured and hardened in under 3 hours with the bondo resin, which shows the huge problem with the epoxy. Hard to tell if this has any actual structural function compared to normal fiberglass. Just get normal fiber glass sheets if you need major repairs that need high strength and reliability.

I used this product to repair a cracked top tube on my carbon fiber bike. I found, and followed, some videos I found on YouTube on repairing a bike using carbon fiber. I would highly recommend buying some heat shrink wrap to use on the carbon mesh after youve applied it. If youve worked with fiberglass before youll find that carbon fiber is nearly identical. I used small pieces and took my time in placement of them. I didnt wear gloves and didnt get any of the resin on my fingers. If you let the resin get sticky before you attempt to lay the fiber weave youll find that it sticks quite well and stays where you put it (I laid down 3 pieces). After the carbon was laid in place and resin applied, I wrapped the area with plastic, then with duct tape, and, finally, heat shrink wrap. After heat shrinking with a heat gun, I let the material dry for around 30 hours. It set up perfectly and required minimal sanding. I was very pleased with the outcome!

This kit would probably be fine to cover an object for esthetics, but it is not a structural kit by any means. The epoxy is useless and provides no rigidity. The carbon fiber has tape on all the edges which becomes waste. The carbon fiber contains no binders and it’s impossible to work with, and is a pain to cut to size.

I used this to fix up some fairings on my motorcycle. The roll was 1’x3’ not 2’x2’ which wasn’t an issue for me but keep that in mind. If you have never used carbon fiber but feel like you can do it then your fine. Just follow the directions and give it plenty of time to cure and your good.

Ive repaired three cracked bike frames with one kit over the last year. Really great product. For those finding it tough to manage fraying when cutting the fabric: 1) Tape off the shape you need on the fabric with narrow making tape. 2) Cut out the rough piece by splitting the tape, saving more fabric for the next repair, and making it easier to handle the working piece. 3) Apply epoxy inside the taped area 4) Cut right along the edge of the tape for final shape. It will not fray, and if you handle carefully, will hold shape as you apply. Id recommend practicing with a small sample.

It hardened completely unlike other resin mix I have tried which never harden properly
