Once upon a time the words contractor bags meant something. It meant they could handle weight and sharp odds and ends such as dry wall pieces and bits of scrap wood. For the last 10 years or so any of the so-called contractor bags you pick up at a big box store have been no different from your garden variety Glad trash bags, so I decided to purchase these off of Amazon because I wanted a specific millimeter thickness. These definitely delivered. Never had an issue and the box lasted almost an entire year.

Wood, metal, masonite, anything with corners that could poke through a regular bag stays sealed in these bags. I put these out with the regular collection, and the garbage men never reject anything I put in these bags.

These bags come out of the (heavy) box one at a time, no fighting with separating them from the next bag. Its easy to find the side with the opening, and fairly easy to get the bag open. They will occupy some real estate on your shelf, but theyre a step above some other contractor trash bags Ive used in the past.

I have been using these bags for quite a while and have reordered several times. I would give a 5 star review but the bags I received this time seem slightly smaller. I have to really stretch them to get them over the rim of the trash can, whereas before there was no stretching needed. Other than that, these are fantastic bags and really hold up well.

Every single bag just rips open on the side seam. I was only putting blankets and clothing in my bags and these are supposed to be for construction!! The plastic is very heavy duty but the side seams are useless. Almost every bag already had the start of a ripped seam even before we used them. We had to waste packing tape on all the seams. DO NOT BUY! Update*** the bags also smell toxic. Super strong chemical smell mixed with burning rubber and will give you a migraine. Now I get to wash all of my clean linen again. Yay me.

There are no dislikes.

Have yet to use one of these bags-----have removed one to inspect and was impressed----the box arrived and just by the weight of the box indicated that these were thicker than others listed as the same----the ones I am using at this time come from Lowes and have used them for several years----I really look forward to my starting the use of these bags---at this time I feel safe in saying these bags will do everything the bag I am now using AND then some!!! I fully plan to purchase these again when I need more bags!!!

Ive been buying the heavy duty 3ml , mainly from home depot, but got these from amazon instead. Didnt realize they come with ties , the twisty kind, not Flaps. Since Flaps are much more convenient i thought they were now standard... I will be more careful to read the fine print next time
