> 24 hourBox includes: Scanner, telescoping antenna, dc harness for direct wire, a.c. plug, car adapter plug, mounting bracket and instruction booklet. This is a great scanner does as advertised and more or less is equal to Amazon reviews, but.... FIRST!! This scanner WILL NOT play audio on fully encrypted systems at all... Period. You will see it key up but hear nothing. SECOND!! This scanner WILL NOT descamble or unencrypt a system. If you hear a static hum when a channels keys up then it is encrypted. There is no way to decode it. THIRD!! Does do ProVoice and DMR systems AFTER a PAID upgrade from Uniden. ProVoice is $45 and DMR is a whopping $60. Check the systems you will be using to see if any of this will apply to you. Best way is to use Radio Reference.com FOURTH!! PROGRAMING IS A PAIN IN THE ASS!!! Probably most important thing I can tell you and best advice I can give here would be pay for a Premium account on RadioReference.com. Your paying over $350.00 for a scanner it would be WELL worth it to fork out $15 more for 180 day subscription. This makes programing... better... still will take a while for most to figure out all the features like Systems, Groups, Channels and Quick Keys. The scanner comes with a usb programing cable. The reviews saying the speaker is low or muffled is accuratish. I think some reviews were a little harsh, but it could for sure be better. After all we are paying ALOT for this machine. I did order an external Uniden speaker for $16, 2 days After I got the scanner. Overall review is 5 stars. The updates, encryption and things mentioned above arent the scanners fault. Thats the Uniden company. This is as much machine as I need and I would recommend it to anyone. Im picking up transmissions from up to 60 miles away with the antenna that came with it. Im going to include a picture from the booklet showing trunking systems this will cover as well as a few more. !!REMEMBER!! CHECK THE SYSTEMS YOU ARE GOING TO SCAN TO SEE IF THEY ARE DMR OR ProVoice (expensive updates available) ALSO..IF ITS ENCRYPTED.. YOU WONT HEAR IT!!

> 24 hourI have 40+ years experience using programmable scanners and I found this to be difficult at first. The user manual could be much better. Dont try to program from the front panel, almost impossible, use a programming software to program. The scanner preforms better than I expected, picks up distant signals good. Over all, I recommend this as a scanner for someone that has experience with programming trunking systems. If you are just starting out in scanning this could be difficult for you to use and learn.

> 24 hourThis scanner is great. Its easy to program once you figure out, without any help from the manufacturer, that you need to use a windows 7 computer and not windows 10 to program it if you want to use pc software to do it. You can program this scanner from the unit itself if you really want to. Its one of the easier scanners Ive programmed for conventional anyways. I havent had a chance to try out the trunking of p25 capabilities yet as my area is building out their p25 p2 network at the moment.

> 24 hourProbably not the best selection for my first digital scanner. Its not easy to program, I ended up paying for a subscription to radio reference. Anothing thing I wish I thought about before buying. At the time I bought this I pay 383.00 then realized that then gps is vitial in my situation. Another 100 bucks there. Hindsight I should have bought a newer model with gps built in and the radio pee programmed. Dont get me wrong, it seems like a solid radio.

> 24 hourThis is a great scanner after you figure out how to set it up. It comes with nothing programed in, so you either have to know how to do that or read and follow the owners manuel. Unless you have previous knowledge of these things, the owners manuel is like going to college after having failed high school. I figured out on my own , how to program freqencies I and got my frequencies from an old Radio Shack code book and by using Radioreference.com. You will need to use some thing. Five stars for sound.

> 24 hourSo I am a newbie to this hobby and decided to buy a scanner just to see what was going on whenever the city fire alarm goes off and to listen to police chatter in my free time. After a few days of research I settled on this model even though there were a lot of people saying it was extremely hard to program....Yes it is without help but I programmed all the local ones I needed thanks to a few you tube videos, freescan and radio reference . Took a few hours to learn how to block unwanted channels and other useful things but wasnt too bad. You can pretty much throw away the directions Uniden sent with it and just you tube or google everything. Product came early and as described.

> 24 hourGreat scanner for P25 I and II systems and analog trunked and non-trunked systems. Beware, this isnt your fathers scanner as the nomenclature and system trees are totally new for those with previous scanner users. Saying there is a steep learning curve is quite the understatement but when you figure it out its great. Digital squelch is an annoyance remover. As has been suggested, a 6-month or yearly account at readioreference.com and downloading the latest files assures your scanner is up to date with the seeming monthly changes. Pricey but well worth it to know whats going on in your city or town, especially with all the unrest and violence in 2020. Would buy again if I needed to.

> 24 hourThis is a great scanner. I would highly recommending downloading freescan software and a premium membership to radioreference.com. Once I download the software and learned how to use it, programming was quite easy
