> 3 dayI use this for rail fanning and it works well. The only small gripe is that the advertised range, with the attached antenna, is not as far as specified. Then again, I am in a hilly area, so that probably makes the range much shorter.

05-04-2025Brought this thinking that I could start doing a hobby I’ve been interested in for a while. I couldn’t figure out even after doing YouTube searches on it to get it out of all lock mode. Also couldn’t figure out how to get my local police feeds. Returned it a week later. After I sent customer support a message which they only say they respond via email, though they do have an 800 number. Call the 800 number and all it says is to email them. Not worth the money.

> 3 dayI bought this to try because some reviews said it was good for beginners. Id have to disagree. No matter what I did, I couldnt get it to work. I tried just scanning but it didnt pick things up very often. Tried entering frequencies but couldnt get it to take. Not for me, I returned it.

> 3 dayUpdate: I cancelled return. After playing with I find this a good product except for no USB drivers and software are not available. Easy to program and find the local search very useful. When I go to website stated in manual it says not found. When I look around there is NO app available as stated in manual and product description. What I do find says for Vista, OMG, what, that’s 20 years old? Bottom line, NO APP SUPPORT! Might be good product if you you don’t care about drivers or apps, I can’t say. Returning be a cause above review.
