> 3 daybrand new radio today before jeep trail ride this weekend. bought external antenna and $40 worth of batteries. (just in case)radio seemd to power on corrctly with 12v cigarette adpter. tried to switch betwen hi (4watts) and Lo(1watt). radio only showedPower Lo. snippy little support girl coruldnt tell me if the power LO switched to Power hi on the screen so i have no way of knowing if Im on full power. cant have that in the middle of the everglades with pythons and stuff. So, I guess Uniden can pay freight both ways and send me another one. until they can fix their support.unless they can tell me otherwise I think its junk Edit update: 6/29/2020; NOTE. two of these and neither came with a charge adapter as stated onpage 6 of manual. called Uniden support (which sucks) and was told Sorry, not sorry. call amazon.so if you buy$25 worth of rechargeables nd expect them to charge in the radio, you will be disappointed. Amazon support, who was smarter than Uniden support (Mary) found an dapter fr the 401 that should work on this radio. a week later I will find out if Uniden and Amazon get the rdio suck up their #$$, and I will buy the Cobra.just tying to let evryone know. PS theres a little adapter in the box to use the cchrger port. Uniden support was too ignorant to know this. woul have saved themselve and mazon rturn freight on the firt radio. since then radio seeems to work well. wont ever buy Uniden nything agian.

> 3 dayThis is a great cb easy to use you will need a bigger antenna recommend tactical 28-in dont go over 28 itll put too much stress on the connection point for the antenna

> 3 dayAntenna and corresponding cabling were in good condition when they arrived and were tested, as for the handheld radio, attached images suffice to describe. Q.C. skipped a beat. Uniden radios as a whole are great, but I seemed to be one of the unlucky few.

> 3 dayI am using this on the handlebars of a motorcycle, and I was led to believe it was waterproof. The first thing I read in the manual after I purchased it under warnings Do NOT EXPOSE to water or high heat. Thanks for mentioning in your sales advertisements Uniden.

> 3 dayI use rechargeable batteries in it to save money. Use it to talk to loaders at the wood mills. Since its portable I can carry when outside the rig to still talk to them. Works great for my needs.
