> 3 dayIve had THREE Razer products fail me within about a year of purchase, so I vowed to never buy another Razer product again. When it came time to buy a new mmo mouse, I knew I wanted it to be wireless as I was sick and tired of my braided mouse cables getting caught on everything. Also because I had heard that wireless tech has gotten much better over time and, for the most part, you no longer have to worry about new wireless mice being laggy or losing connectivity like back in the day. The difference between wired and wireless mice, at least to me, has become indistinguishable. Unfortunately, love or hate Razer, they were the only kids on the block with a wireless mmo mouse for a VERY long time. NO ONE else was doing it. NO ONE. But I was not about to pay close to $200 for shoddy, overpriced Razer junk. Instead, I waited patiently for some other company to come along and challenge Razer. Years went by. Decades. Millennia. Finally, UtechSmart came to my rescue. Ive been using this mouse for about 4 months now and am honestly very surprised at how much I enjoy it. Chinese brands have really been upping their game lately, at least from my experience. This mouse has a lot going for it. On the bottom theres a switch for On (Without Lighting), Off, and a second On option (With Lighting). When you stop using it for a bit, the lighting turns off and it goes to sleep to conserve battery, so you dont have to worry if you forget to turn it off. When the mouse detects movement, the lighting turns back on. If you dont use it too often, you can leave it there for days upon days (maybe even weeks) without having to charge it again. To charge it, just plug any ol USB-C cable to the front and youre set. The lighting turns white and flashes, or breathes, on and off to show that its connected and charging, which could be annoying if youre trying to sleep. The software appears basic, but it does everything I need it to, without any fluff. You dont need to create an account or any of that nonsense. You can change lighting color, effect, brightness, DPI (there are 5 speed settings), record macros and map all buttons (including the left and mouse clickers) to something else, with the exception of the two DPI adjustment buttons, which is unfortunate, but no huge loss for me, personally. In terms of size, weight and feel, Id say its definitely a wider mouse than most. Its lighter than youd expect, though. If you own a Logitech G600, its a bit wider in comparison. It also seems to be ever-so-slightly lighter, though that may just be because its larger so the weight is more spread out. Beneath the bottom row of the 12 side buttons, it flares out so you can rest your thumb; a feature I didnt think I needed, but that I actually find myself using more and more. The texture of the mouse is rough, as opposed the usual smooth, like most mice. Whether thats a good or a bad thing it up to you. It does seem to help with making all those greasy, oily, cheeto-dust stains not so obvious. Finally, one of my biggest gripes with a lot of mice is how hard it is to actuate the middle mouse button. On this one, it feels easier (and sounds softer) to press than a lot of other mice Ive tried. I do wish it were even easier, though. All in all, Im very happy that UtechSmart made this mouse and HIGHLY recommend it, especially since it looks like, at the time of writing this review, its the only wireless 12-button mouse on Amazon. I hope they consider making a newer edition with even MORE buttons. Maybe a 3rd clicker next to the right clicker, similar to the Logitech G600, and an additional button next to the left clicker. You can never have enough buttons! MORE BUTTONS!!!

Greater than one weekThe Good: The mouse is comfortable and feels pretty solid. The left and right click feel great, the wheel has a nice soft ratcheting that is very quiet and just barely felt but gives a slight haptic feedback and keeps the wheel from just spinning freely. Most of the side buttons feel nice and clicky but there are a couple (Notably the 5 and 10 for me) that are a little more mushy and dont provide much feedback. Im sure it varies between mice, you may have no mushy buttons or several. The buttons are also small and close together so it can sometimes be difficult to hit a middle row button without hitting the top or bottom row, but the columns are easy to distinguish thanks to the opposing angles. The Bad: So the mouse itself is pretty solid for the price, although longevity has yet to be determined. However, the driver software is not great. It has decent configuration options to map pretty much any action you might want and is not difficult to use, but the combination button assignments (Alt or Ctrl + another key) only work about 10% of the time, randomly. The majority of the time, it will only register the key as if alt or ctrl were not being held, making the feature useless. There is a workaround by setting up a macro, but that is a tedious process that shouldnt be necessary. The software is also somewhat barebones. It has 5 profiles you can set up that are stored on the mouse, and you can also save profile configurations to your hard drive for later recovery. The profiles have to be selected manually, there is no option to set profiles to run with certain programs. There is a button on the bottom of the mouse that cycles through the profiles, or you can select them manually within the configuration utility. For some reason after spending a good chunk of time setting up all the macros and keybinds for the side buttons, after the first time I restarted my computer the config tool just said disabled under every button and wouldnt let me change any bindings. The problem persisted after uninstalling/reinstalling both the config software and the mouse itself, and rebooting. The mouse continued to work under the profiles I had already set up by using the profile select button on the mouse itself, but the software was unable to communicate with the mouse to detect the profiles or change them. Somehow, after a lot of wasted time and frustration, the situation corrected itself when I moved the mouse to a different usb port. Im still not sure what caused this, but it could be unique to my computer. TLDR; It feels well made for the price, is comfortable to use, with an ergonomic design, ringfinger rest, and a textured, grippy surface, and most of the buttons feel nice and crisp, but the configuration software is somewhat lackluster compared to G-hub or Synapse.

> 3 dayFar better for gaming than your regular, generic, 2 clicker and wheel. The number buttons on the side are convenient, but also not. It takes time to get used to using this mouse, while not pressing those buttons on the side. Could be fixed by making them more ridged, or by removing 1 row, making room for your thumb to grip the edge of the mouse. That is my only real issue for now.

> 3 dayBuckle up guys, this review is gonna be long,Amazing mouse. I started using it on January 4th, 2018, and here it is, over a year later, still working flawlessly. Not sure what other reviews mean with the software being a nightmare. Literally all I did was search utechsmart software and its the first result, its really straightforward. Now, *claps hands together* m o u s e r e v i e w ! Build quality: 10/10 Its grippy and textured, which, when I first got it, seemed odd and kind of weird. That is, until I got used to it, which was very quickly. It has a teflon coating or something that makes your hands not stick to it when your hands get sweaty. It also has adjustable weight, which is a godsend. It feels really solid and makes other, expensive, non textured mice feel like cheap trash. *cough cough* Im looking at you, Razer Naga! Ive never had a button stick or be unresponsive, and, as hard as I am with them, and as much as I use them, is truly impressive. Ergonomics: 9/10 The ergonomics are awesome, when I first got it, I found myself trying to right click by pushing down with my ring finger on the side groove. Speaking of side grooves, I kinda wish they had a groove for your pinky as well as your ring finger, but dont get me wrong, you dont notice it unless youre thinking about it, and the grippy texture almost completely makes up for it by keeping your pinky held up on the side. If you use the claw grip on your mouse though, it just negates it and its fine, and while this mouse isnt really made for that grip. Theres also a thumb rest below the buttons, but once again, it would be nice if it fit my thumb a bit better, its kinda blocky and not really ergonomic, but not uncomfortable at all, and most of the time, my thumb is on the buttons rather than the rest anyway. Some of you may be worried about how your hands will fit, and fear not! I have huge hands, and this mouse fits me like a glove. Those of you with smaller hands, also fear not! My sister who has small hands has used it and has said its the best feeling mouse shes used yet! Its basically a one-size-fits-all. Features and usability/functions: 10/10 Once you use a mouse with 12 buttons, you cant go back. Believe me, Ive tried, and Im perfectly content with that. I thought theres no way I can keep track of all this, but I did and its way easier than I thought. This is advertised as an MMO mouse, and I dont even play MMOs, but but I can almost guarantee you will have no regrets. Its completely programmable and I use it for way more things than just gaming. In fact, Ill list all the mapped buttons now just so you can see what I mean. 1: Alt+Tab 2: Page Down 3: Page Up 4: Ctrl+Tab (selecting different tabs) 5: Volume Down 6: Volume Up 7: Forward (mouse 5) 8: Delete 9: Enter 10: Backward (mouse 4) 11: Ctrl+C (Copy) 12: Ctrl+V (Paste) See how useful that is? What sense does it make to have your left hand on a massive keyboard of 100 buttons, and your left only to 2-4 buttons? Thats right, it doesnt. Software/Lighing: 8/10 The software offers a lot of customizable options, such as DPI, button mapping, and lighting. Its relatively easy to use, and is decently simple. I really wish it had the option of customizing each part of the mouse a different color though, since it has a lot of places for it, or gave the option to breath through different colors, but this is more of a personal thing though. The software offers 5 different profiles, with each profile offering 5 different DPI switches and complete customization of button mapping and lighting etc. The default button to switch is on the underside of the mouse, but is also able to be mapped to any button of your choice. Comparison/price: 10/10 This is an all around astounding mouse to have, especially for the price. It easily shatters expensive competitors, like the Razer Naga, even the Trinity version, which I have owned and tried, and falls short in every area, except for the lighting, which is pretty cool. Some people may say the Logitech G600 and G602 mouse is better, and I havent tried them yet, but for now, I know for a fact that this mouse is the best bang for your buck mouse of this kind you can get. It could easily be sold for 70$+

Greater than one weekits a great mouse with really good software. I used the wired version for years until the middle mouse button gave out, so i was quite happy to see they had an updated wireless version. It was a breeze to set up my macros and hotkeys, I really like this new software. Old wired version got super buggy for me, but so far so good with this version. The best feature about the wireless version for me is the battery life. I got this mouse a month ago and the first and only time I charged it was the day I got it. Ill admit Im not using the lights on it, but still its absolutely amazing.

> 3 dayIm sooo glad I returned another mouse (a certain color serpentine) that had non-functioning software and a squeaky left-click button. FUNCTIONALITY: The software for this Venus Pro device just works. The colors and operations change so easily. Try using it in your documents and productivity. Youll know youre in Heaven when you find you can change the 7 and 8 buttons to copy and cut and the 10 button to paste. Or of course to whatever functions you like. I set buttons 1 and 4 to forward and back for web browsing. Note that there is a profile button beneath the device, so you can press the button to either match your mood or to another persons settings should you be sharing the device. The left and right buttons have a very soft click to them - just enough to hear but not loud enough to perturb. GAMING: My current game responds flawlessly to the 12-button panel and lets me choose any button for any function, such as crouching or standing. I simply couldnt ask for more than this. Many games simply dont register extra buttons. And the play is smooth and responsive in practice. STYLE: Its a beautiful device. The logo is understated. The wheel lights brightly. One thing I noticed strikingly is that the DPI buttons are lit as well, making it easy to tell which buttons do what without having to inspect them closely. Most other such devices have the DPI buttons all black and you cannot see what youre choosing easily. TEXTURE: The texture of the mouse is unique and has a matte black sandpaper, gritty feel to it. Im able to deduce that there shall be no sticky/greasy fingerprints on the device. I could expect furthermore that its not as slippery in your hand during long work or gaming sessions. OUTSTANDING FEATURES: I enjoy the way it subtly turns the RGB off quickly and softly when not moving and it wakes just as softly when you touch it again. All the number keys illuminate. The wheel illuminates brights. The front of the device illuminates brightly and calls to mind the fog lamps on a car. They shine warmly in front of the mouse and are a welcomed feature. The type-C port and cable are exceptional characteristics in terms of modernity and functionality. And, the cable is long and generous. I connect the velcro to the velcro I have near my desk to keep it in sight and off the floor. CONCLUSION: I fully expect to have a lot of fun with this mouse. Its got a beautiful design, enviable features, lovable customization options, and is priced less than other devices with far less features. The RGB LEDs go perfectly with my PC & keyboard RGB setup. Its weighty and responsive and I love that I can set the colors to whatever color scheme I have my PC in at the time. Im more than happy with this purchase. Thank you UtechSmart.

> 3 dayIm a very picky guy when i comes to my set up. Im always looking for the best of the best to get a better experience for comfort in playing competitive games, editing photos, editing videos, music production, ect. (Gaming mouse 1) My first gaming mouse that i bought was a Corsair Scimitar Pro RGB, lasted me for a 1 year but the thing i didnt like was the difficulty in software, the dull looking colors, and most important to me the wire on the mouse that i didnt like & not able to take it off and on. It broke and the threading was coming off and the mouse rubber became this weird sticky feel and note that im a clean freak but thats the long term effect of those mouses. Lost -$80.00 (Gaming mouse 2) My next gaming mouse i got was a Razor Naga mouse. I felt it was to bulky, unnatural feeling, and it was a HUGE pain. The sensor broke where it would randomly stop responding to movement even when wired or wireless and i scraped that one. Spent at the time about $65-$100 for it. Now -$65-$100 gone. (Mouse 3) So i was using a simple 2 button wireless mouse for years to come after bad experience with the others, than i when back into the search for that vision mouse in my head. I love the Corsair Side buttons & changing color concept, I somewhat liked the razor battery, I loved my 2 button wireless feel/shape & freedom to wireless to my hand. (Search Story) I could not find nothing and the things that i somewhat liked where all wired to the mouse after looking at many youtube videos, searching google, ect. Until i found out about UtechSmart Venus Pro RGB Wireless MMO & there it said 49.99 on amazon. I was like there is no way this exists, instantly love what specs they have, the RGB, the side buttons to how its made was very unique, Wireless ECT so i ended up buying it. It came, and in a instance i open the box. My first reaction was 10/10. It came with a protection pouch, usb, to instantly download latest software which i completely did not expect, along with a ton of features i didnt expect. (UtechSmart Venus Pro RGB Wireless MMO thoughts/reaction) One thing I instantly loved was the grippy feel to it, I absolutely love this mouse and lowkey for the 2 weeks kept going in my backpack just to feel it because it was weirdly satisfying lol. One thing i notice is they had the best accurate/bright customizable RGB light which is both great for lit room & dark room set ups for that nice aesthetic look. Pressing the buttons feels amazing, I notice for the side buttons design is different with a dip wavy style which at first I thought was weird because I never seen/experienced anything like it BUT it completely gave me way more control when gaming i notice Im not making any miss click mistakes including in World of Warcraft & with the corsair/naga i notice i always made to many miss click mistakes because the buttons just felt all the same to me also on those mouse i only used the half of middle/top because of that big issue. Under the mouse side button there is a Thumb support & man i cant tell you enough how important that is when gaming, that actually stopped giving me thumb pain & setting my thumb position to more accurate response times. Yo they even have a Step DPI dial button switch with led indicators on steps (for how sensitive you like your mouse movement) located under the scrolling wheel on the middle mouse so you dont have to go back into the software and adjust when playing, also you will not accidently press it throwing off your game playing. Most important thing is that the mouse shape/grove of how the mouse feels is perfect when placing your hand on top of it. Its very natural feeling and very comfortable, your hand never gets tired and the ring finger & pinky finger will not cramp/get tired. Now for battery life i dont even remember how often i charge it because i swear im only charging this thing once a month with led always on (Im on my computer 8+ hours a day and lets not forget my travel laptop). This is hands down the best mouse & with best price. I tired all the expensive stuff, it all failed me, saying this with respect. This is forever my favorite company and I will stick with this company till the day I die man. Whoever designed & planned this mouse is a an absolute genius and has a ridiculous level of attention to detail.

> 3 dayUpdate: I have purchased 3 of these gaming mice since 2004 and given away 2 of them as gifts. I still use my original gaming mouse 6-1/2 years later. I am now about to purchase 2 more. This time, however, I am buying the wireless version for portability. UtechSmart hit it out of the park with this thing! I bought my Venus MMO Gaming Mouse in December of 2014 and it has lasted me more than 5 years. This thing is built like a tank. None of the buttons have ever shown signs of wearing out, and the mouses RGB lighting has never failed. The sensor on the bottom of the mouse is still working just fine too. UtechSmart offers an 18 mo. Warranty from the date of purchase. If the company is dedicated to making a product this well, you wont need to worry about using it. Since 2014, I have purchased two more, one was given away as a gift, the other one has been waiting patiently in my closet to be unboxed and plugged in. This gaming mouse is anything but small and it fits perfectly in the palm of my hand. It has twelve buttons on the left side, perfectly positioned for your using your thumb. On top, next to the left mouse button is a small, bar-style button that protrudes just a bit from the top. It is extremely handy for cycling through in-game maps. The mapping software from UtechSmart makes the entire mouse completely unique as almost every button can be remapped and the list of options for each one is extensive. While this is a Gaming Mouse, the functionality of this thing in other programs is fantastic. On YouTube, the side buttons can be used to jump forward or backward in a video. Remapping the buttons for use in MS Office or Open Office programs allows for much faster productivity. The same goes for CAD programs and the like. Beyond the twelve side buttons and the top one next to the left-click are 2 buttons in the center of the mouse just behind the scrolling wheel... BTW, the wheel itself can be clicked like a regular button as well. The two buttons behind the wheel on the top of the mouse control the DPI Setting. I have never had to mess with this sensitivity setting but I can think of a few instances where it might come in handy. On the bottom of the mouse is a tiny, recessed button that changes the RGB color of the mouse depending on your taste or desire for everything in your setup to match. Even better yet, the included mapping software has a custom color palette included in it. Download and/or install (from the included flash drive) the UtechSmart Venus MMO Gaming Mouse Management Software. Go into the Color option and make the mouse glow in whatever color you desire. There are so many things to point out about this mouse that I know I am going to miss a few of them... This is a weighted mouse, designed for smoother control. The weight of the mouse can be adjusted by removing the weight pod underneath and either adding or removing the small weights that are included. Beyond the buttons, I have to mention the finger placement on this mouse was thought out in detail. This is a very comfortable tool to use for long periods of time. There is a platform on the left side for your thumb to rest on. Featured on the right side of the mouse is a small indent for your third (ring) finger to rest comfortably. While your pinky rests next to the mouse body on the surface of the mousepad. Unfortunately, I cannot compare this to any other gaming mouse. it is the only one I have used for the last 6+ years.

> 3 dayThe mouse is perfect for MMOs. There are plenty of buttons to bind abilities and everything is within reasonable distance of my fingers despite having small hands. I wish the battery was replaceable, though. Have to buy new if it dies.

> 3 dayI LOVE the button click which is why I gave this mouse 3 stars. I pretty much hate everything else about it. Issue 1: Ergonomically its fine as long as I never have to lift it off my mouse pad. It is NOT designed to be easy to lift (I have NO weights installed). The shape forces me to grip it hard just to lift it. I have to catch the tiny little vertical surface on the thumb side or hold onto the multi-button surface neither of which is a good thing. The small finger side has a rounded surface which gives no good purchase for lifting. This is a ONE STAR feature. Issue 2: The surface is pebbly and . . . SLICK . . . which adds to the lift grip difficulty. Teflon is a slick surface. It is NOT grippy despite the pebbly finish. My last mouse had rigged rubber grippy surfaces for lifting that were awesome. With the gentlest of grips I could live and move that mouse. This one . . . not happening. With the same gentle grip that would allow my previous mouse to be lifted and moved this one shifts and slides in my hand. Issue 3: The thumb buttons. No. Just no. Theyre small, too close together and not tactilely distinct. For my short little thumb (wide hands, short digits) its just not a good thing. My thumb joint hurt just playing through one round of Bitterfrost. And finally . . . the software comes on a weird little flash drive that comes as part of a credit card sized piece of plastic. After much searching online I finally figured out that bit that says press here IS the flash drive. It snaps OUT of the surrounding plastic. Weirdest thing Ive ever seen. Completely insufficient instruction. So, except for the very nice button click, this is a one-star mouse. Shape and surface texture/material, button placement, number of buttons and their location . . . completely one star. UPDATE: UTechSmart contacted me offering me $ for a new mouse. Ive already purchased a mouse that works adequately but the gesture is appreciated. Heres my response. When giving meaningful feedback theres always a desire to placate and pacify. I want to avoid both of those tendencies. I dont think anything but the absolute truth will help UTechSmart improve this product. I think mouse designers have a difficult problem, designing a mouse to suit everyone. Its simply not possible for one mouse to do every job because not everyone uses their mouse in the same way and the range of people shapes are wildly varied. I have wide hand and short fingers. My primary mouse use is to play Guild Wars 2. My game-play style is closer to pvp than to anything open world. I also program (php/mysql). Whatever I get that works for gaming will work for programming. A plain two/three button mouse is perfectly adequate for programming but will not work for gaming. In the search for the perfect mouse, Ive tried quite a few. Ive read hundreds of reviews. I have only found one mouse that gets close to satisfying my needs for a gaming mouse, the Anker Gaming Mouse (discontinued). I need a mouse that has convenient and easy to use buttons in numbers sufficient to assign a button to every available movement. This does not evenly remotely apply to the UTechSmart. The number of buttons is sufficient but the placement is not suited to fast and accurate use. The thumb button locations would require months of training to get all the button locations coded into muscle memory. They are small and closely packed and I will freely admit I dont have the necessary level of patience assuming I could reach all the buttons with my short little thumb. It appears to be best suited to use with technical software, drawing, architecture and the like. The Anker wasnt a perfect mouse. It had its problems. It had one button I could not reach without repositioning my hand and awkwardly reaching for it (little finger side of the mouse). I put this button on ignore. In addition to the standard roll forward/backward, it had a click (down) function and a left and right press I assigned to strafe. This combo button could not take any rough handling. I trashed this button on my first Anker and knew it had to be treated gently on my replacement Anker. The three thumb buttons, separated into a triangle, allowed for jump (outside side of thumb), forward and backward. This configuration was PERFECT allowing me to run forward and backward while jumping. Whether a person had long or short fingers, the buttons were universally accessible. I now have a RedDragon M801. It isnt as good as the Anker mouse but its not too horribly far behind. It has three fewer buttons so in addition to losing the unused button Ive lost right and left strafe. The three thumb buttons are not as usefully placed though they have adequately textured making it easy to tell them apart by feel. Because they are in a line I have to stretch awkwardly to reach them all comfortably. I am not yet at the point where pressing each one is embedded in muscle memory but after four weeks Im very close. This button placement will always be more awkward to use. Ano
