One of the unexpected pluses about this dish as opposed to the metal one we have anyway is that mice outside dont drown in it- they seem to be able to jump out. We don’t want mice or frogs in our pets bowls but they find it and the cat finds them eventually but at least there are no dead mice in their food or water yech!
