> 3 daySo I want everyone to know I was very hesitant to buy this monitor, but I had two Dell 27 Gaming monitors that were trash so I needed something comparable that wasnt $400 because once you go 1440p 144hz theres no going back... well I got the box unpacked everything, the stand was sturdy from what I could tell but I had a vesa mount for multi-monitor setup so I didnt use it. I turned my PC on and I was BLOWN AWAY. The color reproduction is just so good, its very vibrant and feel more true to the tone than my Dells ever were. Then I activated the overclocking for 180hz and while it was a pain in the ass it wasnt impossible to figure out just by muddling with the menu. Its packed with all kinds of useless gamer features like a cross hair and timers which are cool but I dont know that anyone would ever use them. Lastly there was one major flaw with the monitor which I didnt find out about until coming home in the dead of night and getting on my PC. Here I am sitting in low ambient lighting and I turn my monitor on to be BLINDED BY THE LIGHT OF A THOUSAND SUNS!!! The Viotek logo appears centered upon a white screen and turning it on is akin to pulling the pin on a flashbang directly in front of you and watching it go boom. My wife who wasnt even in direct contact with the monitor winced in pure agony... Beware the wrath of the logo...

> 3 dayThis monitor is great! I have only 2 problems with it. First, when I set it to 180hz I get color banding. I first noticed it when painting a car in Forza Horizon 4. As I changed the hue bands would move across the body of the car. After I saw it there I began to notice it elsewhere also. Reducing the refresh to 165hz fixed the problem. I havent tried the 240hz hack to see if it does it there also. Second, and more important as it could cause the monitor to be damaged if I am not careful, the stand doesnt securely fit into the monitor. The latch doesnt fully engage. If I use it in landscape, which I prefer anyway, it will hang on the stand and not fall. But, I can pull on the bottom of the screen and it pulls away from the bottom of the connector to the stand. If I lift it the stand will fall off. If I ever want to use it in portrait, it will probably fall off and maybe break. I have it where I like it for now, but, if I ever need to move it I have to be very careful.

Greater than one weekI use it as my second monitor (left) in portrait mode. The adjustable stand it what I was really after. Easy set up and adjustable stand allows for tilt, height, and vertical/horizontal adjustments that work well. The quality is great and there are no issues with it after a month of use. The picture quality is good, but is noticeable if you have a higher quality monitor; my main monitor is 1440p and it is a noticeable difference. HOWEVER, that is at no fault of this monitor. I have no comments on its ability as a stand-alone monitor as I’m not using it for that. I imagine it should be fine. Worth the price.

> 3 daydespite the overwhelming bad reviews, this monitor is a great buy. This monitor took me by surprise with its high refresh rate, especially at only $299.99. Most of the negative reviews had to do more with how FEDEX/UPS messed up during shipping than the actual performance of the monitor. And Though it wouldve been nice to have 1440p with the 27 screen it remains sharp at normal distances. In comparison to Alienwares 240hz monitor, Viotek despite the quality of he materials being slightly lower still has the same feature such as 240hz, 1ms response time, 1080p. The Viotek also has a 2 bigger screen on top of all that. So in conclusion this monitor is a great buy and the only reason that it isnt 5/5 stars is that it isnt 1440p (I know the price would go up). TLDR: This is a great monitor with great features. a definite win in terms of price and its only flaw is that its 1440p.

20-11-2024If I did not have two Apple monitors that are more accurate running with it I would give it 5 stars.

> 3 dayEasy to set up, pull it out of the box and plug in, that easy. Options are easy to navigate, has a few things to try and mess around with. Crosshair option is cool, I was able to get the picture quality to look really nice. Screen is viewable from anywhere you stand. UPDATE: I have now had the opportunity to test a few other monitors within the same price range, the borders on this monitor are big making a dual or triple monitor setup for gaming not right, presets dont save, might need an update. I returned mine and went with another kind on amazon and am super happy, 1ms and 240hz as well with super colors, I no longer recommend this monitor. I went threw better choice products and have not been happy with the return time. Everytime I turned on the monitor the bottom half of the screen would be super white and the top half dark, must have a super bright light along the bottom of the screen sometimes it would cause it to have a glare in a daylight lit room, I tried to turn it up to 1 ms and 240hz and started to see blur, my other monitor, different brand does not do that and looks great, it only did it to some games though with this one. overall its a good monitor but there are better out there for this price.

> 3 dayIve had this monitor for several months now, and Ive seen how it performs •This monitor DOES in fact run at 240hz at 1ms. •The power switch is kinda garbage though. Imagine an Xbox joystick, but clunkier. You move it in a certain direction to do the OSD stuff, and press it in to select. **HOWEVER**, as you can see in the pictures, it has recently...broke? It now flashes different RGB colors, along with a black box in the middle that has a bunch of different info about the monitor. It was after I tried turning it on with the (as mentioned before, garbage) power switch that it started doing this. Sooooooooo, I decided to get a return/replacement directly from them, so I emailed them It took **72 hours* to get a message from them...I guess thats fine? The message after 72 hours was: Thank you for blah blah....Please fill out this RMA form and someone from our returns/repairs team will get back to you within 2-3 business days...so...a longer wait. OK After 2 days, I get this: We have received your Return Authorization Request Submission! Currently, our processing time for your inquiry is approximately 1-5 business days. We will contact you via email with further instructions. So an even longer wait... 3 days after THAT email, I got an email asking to send them a pic of it. So I did A little while later that day, I got an email with the return info, what I need to print off, etc, along with this: The typical RMA processing time is about six business days from the time the item was physically received at our facility. We do apologize for the wait. Those six days arent including the time it takes for the monitor to GET there, or come BACK (if they even deem it worthy of reparation TL:DR Cheap monitor, worked for a bit. Customer service is meh, the wait time for Vioteks warranty to do its crap is...........long. Hopefully you dont have problems with yours
