I found the product to be excessively complicated unnecessarily for the simple purpose it was designed for.

These work once they’re set up, but it took awhile to figure out how to get Alexa to recognize them. Annoying, but fine once they connect.

I bought these plugs for my grow lights so I can keep my indoor plants on a light schedule. Integrating the plugs to Alexa was pretty straightforward but what I noticed was that the lights would turn on and off 50% of the time when the plugs were put on a schedule. I end up checking my phone every day to make sure that the lights are actually on or off. I bought the plugs to make my life more convenient but it seems to be doing the opposite.

I ordered and received a 2-pack of Volt smart plugs. Set the first one up with a bit of a learning curve but its all installed and accepting voice commands via Alexa. The 2nd one was dead. I contacted Vonts support line via web and got a response within an hour. They are sending a free replacement. So far, Im happy with the product and their customer support.

Nice smart plugs at a good value - easy to set up and they work well. Things I liked 1. Alexa integration - easy to talk to Alexa to turn lights on and off 2. app makes setup easy and control easy as well 3. vacation mode is great - allows to set up a schedule and control remotely

You have to refresh multiple times to make sure they are off and on. Sometimes you turn the appliance off on the phone app and it won’t turn off so you need to keep refreshing it until it does. Eventually it will after a few times out of your lucky on the first try. It does the job tho.

Bought two of these when I really only needed one but it was so much fun setting it up I immediately used the other one. Easy integration with Alexa great product.

Update : The customer service representative decided these were defective. They decided to send me the new replacement. I hope the new ones will work great as the company gives the lifetime warranty. I wanted vacation plug so it can turn on and off automatically without any app controls. But this one, whenever its automatically shut down, you need to turn the electricity back on from the app. Useless.

YOU HAVE TO INSTALL VONTS APP AS WELL?? cant just put into Alexa, must have 2 apps for this to work :( annoying

Overall, this product looks great and works well. My only complaints have to do with the companion app and the Alexa interaction. The Vont App is clunky and should make it easier for something to run on a schedule. You can either do an on or off time and then a timer until the next shift. It could be more streamlined for sure. I do appreciate the setting to turn off the status light that not every plug I have interreacted with has as an option. Getting it connected with the Alexa app was a little tricky since I had to get the Vont skill to help it see the existing device, but that is really on the Alexa app.
