> 24 hourFirst, let me say Im a huge fan of YoLink devices. I have 18 sensors and alarms around my house. I purchased this switch to go with a motion detector. The motion detector was less than stellar, and I left a review for that. The YoLink switch replaced a similar Kasa brand smart switch. The YoLink switch is decent, but not quite as nice as the Kasa switch. It installed easy enough, and is SUPER easy to link to your app. The overall feel of the switch itself is simply a little cheaper than what Im used to, when comparing it to Kasa. The part I do not like however, is the red light in the switch button when the switch is off. This switch is in my basement, so I can live with it, however, I will not be adding these to my living room or kitchen until something is done about that light. It looks cheap, and its bright when the room is dark. I understand that some folks might want a way to find the switch in the dark, but Im not a fan. Perhaps if YoLink added a way to control that red light from the app? Overall, not a bad product, but it could use some refining.

> 24 hourI really love the yolink ecosystem. they are super easy to add to the system, so i was excited to migrate from my zwave switch that controlled my outside garage lights to this system. Overall it works and does what it is designed to do, but i do have a few minor issues i hope they address in future light switches. 1) As most others have noted, the red LED light is sort of annoying. I have it in the garage so it isnt that big of a deal, but i would not want these throughout the house in main living areas. THe red indicator light when off is just very bright and annoying. I would rather it be a very small led indicator in the bottom corner. Or if you could change the LED maybe a different color would be better, and/or brightness level. if that was controllable. When on it is white which is fine. 2) The overall feel of the switch is not the best i have seen. Where you make the connection for the electrical, the screw is what bites into the copper to hold it in. It does make a very secure connection when tugging, but most other switches have molre of a plate that squeezes the cable on the inside. Again it seems to be ok but just something i noticed. 3) My switch came with the arrow facing down (opposite of the instructions which tell you to have it facing up). Support noted it was fine to install, but again just noting that it was not what the directions had. 4) THe switch housing is a little thicker than the other traditional switches, so i think my cover plate was not fully flush on the one side. i took a picture so you can see although it may be hard. Id rather it be designed more like a traditional switch and if needed be able to tear off the ears as some setups do require that. 5) I would have loved if this was an energy management capabilities to keep track of how much power, but not a deal breaker, especially at this price point. 6) The software does have sunrise/sunset scheduling, but i am hoping they include more advanced such as x minutes before and x minutes after to tweak my settings a little better for my needs. Again overall i like it and great price point but hopefully they address some of these in future models.

> 24 hourI decided to give the YoLink light switches a try after purchasing a Yolink hub and flood sensors a few months earlier. I needed to replace some much older motion sensor/light switch combos that only worked with incandescent bulbs. Of all the options I looked at, these were by far the best value and I liked the wide range of products that work together with the same hub and app. Initially I was looking at Zwave or Zigbee products but decided on YoLink after comparing prices and doing the math. Most of the YoLink devices can be paired together directly in addition to pairing with the hub, such that simple automations will still work if the Internet connection is down (e.g. activating a switch with a motion sensor or door sensor). On the downside, YoLinks communication protocol is proprietary and not compatible with APIs like OpenHAB. But so far the apps built-in automation features have been enough for my needs. The only other thing I would nitpick is that you cant configure the LED behavior on the switch itself, which some competing products allow. Alexa integration works great. The YoLink app keeps full history of switch state and allows configuring the switchs power-on state (recovery after power failure), which can be on, off, or last state. Device firmware upgrades are easy, though I would not recommend kicking off more than one or two at a time, as they all need to download from the hub. Overall Im pretty happy with this purchase as well as other products in YoLinks ecosystem.

> 24 hourI use this switch to control an overhead heater in my garage . I really like it because the Yo-Link app allows smart interaction between various sensors and switches. I have the Yo-Link garage door sensor too and have the app programmed so when the garage door is opened more than 7 minutes it turns the heater off. Works flawlessly.

> 24 hourI was able to wire and install this switch in a 4-gang box. Since then its been turning on/off my outside lights as I programmed. Programming the switch and checking when it turned the status of lights is very easy. All yolink products are very simple to setup, and use. They are also very reliable and never failed since Ive been using them for almost a year. I wish they had more products such as indoor/outdoor cameras.

> 24 hourMy third yolink device, super easy to setup and very reliable, love how wel it integrates with my Alexa. The Lora signal is superb And separate from the WiFi signal, I’m definitely moving all my automation to my Lora network and hope yolink will continue to create more devices.

> 24 hourI had a Lutron Caseta switch that was working fine but way outside the 30ft range it is specified for. With the 1000ft range on the Yolink, I thought this would be a more reliable solution. Once installed, the switch shows a Good signal in the app but the switch is responsive about 50% of the time. The light gets left on all night after an off command is sent, or it doesnt come on frequently when on commands are sent. Putting the Lutron back and returning this.
