> 3 dayI decided to give the YoLink light switches a try after purchasing a Yolink hub and flood sensors a few months earlier. I needed to replace some much older motion sensor/light switch combos that only worked with incandescent bulbs. Of all the options I looked at, these were by far the best value and I liked the wide range of products that work together with the same hub and app. Initially I was looking at Zwave or Zigbee products but decided on YoLink after comparing prices and doing the math. Most of the YoLink devices can be paired together directly in addition to pairing with the hub, such that simple automations will still work if the Internet connection is down (e.g. activating a switch with a motion sensor or door sensor). On the downside, YoLinks communication protocol is proprietary and not compatible with APIs like OpenHAB. But so far the apps built-in automation features have been enough for my needs. The only other thing I would nitpick is that you cant configure the LED behavior on the switch itself, which some competing products allow. Alexa integration works great. The YoLink app keeps full history of switch state and allows configuring the switchs power-on state (recovery after power failure), which can be on, off, or last state. Device firmware upgrades are easy, though I would not recommend kicking off more than one or two at a time, as they all need to download from the hub. Overall Im pretty happy with this purchase as well as other products in YoLinks ecosystem.

> 3 dayFirst, the motion detection doesnt log out notify the app when someone triggers the light. Which is the only reason I wanted it. However, the first switch didnt work. No connection to the hub!!!! So, it returned it and tried the second time. It connected to the hub!!! Yeah!!! Then the connection stopped working. Boo!!!! It still turns on the light, but you cant see its status of turn it on through the hub. I would return it, but it is in a different state than me now. So, a lesson learned.

> 3 dayI bought these to use with Yolink motion sensors to control outdoor floods and coach lights. The installation was straightforward (although not easy to fit into the 3-gang box), but the floodlight switch would not connect. I thought it was defective, but decided to order another rather than sending it back. The replacement had the same issues, which I eventually resolved by cleaning up the wiring. As other reviewers have mentioned, the switches have rather loud red LEDs that I would prefer to turn off, but I can live with them.

> 3 dayI needed something to help me turn the lights in my garage on and off. This switch integrated with my current Yolink setup very well. The switch was easy to install and works even easier.

> 3 dayBought this to primarily operate outside lights to come on at dusk and off at dawn. Was easy to install, however, was not mentioned in instructions that it had to have a common wire connected. Only after it not working and searching internet did I find this requirement. The only other thing negative about the switch is that its meant to be used alone as a single switch. It is all plastic and there is no hole to attach a face plate to, except the one it comes with, which snaps in place. I wanted to use it in a double gang setup as shown in picture. There are holes in it which line up with the face plate, however, they are not threaded and too small for standard face plate screws

> 3 dayWhen paired with motion sensors (or manually /w smartphone), my switch is part of an electronic team to (among other things) light/darken zones as people/things move through. Exactly what I needed.

> 3 dayI installed two switches for overhead lights in my workshop that is located 300’ from my house. These switches are on opposite walls, requiring crossing the shop just to turn on/off lights. I also installed a YoLink Motion Detector over the entry door. So now when you enter, the overhead lights come on and stay on as long as there is motion inside. This is great as sometimes, I’m going in and out several times a day. I can also use the app on my phone to check the status of or turn any YoLink device on or off. Plus I can get notifications on my phone if the motion detector senses anything.
