It works perfectly, allowing me to stretch my laptop to two displays and link it to a webcam and mouse. It allows for two monitors at 1920 x 1200@60Hz. Good product, lightweight, and has functional ports. To make it operate, the driver must first be installed. Good display.

This one is easy to use and we set up with the kids gaming and homework setup easily. Solid build. It does not play well with Macbooks, but with PC it did just fine. Be sure to read the specs on this one. It does what its meant for well, but it does not like newer tech. Does not support Displayport, 4K monitors, and does not offer power.

It seems that all docking stations right now are meant to be used with a usb-c port. So I was pretty happy to find this one that just uses a good old usb port. I’m using three older laptops, two converted hp and dell linux laptops and a MacBook from 2015 running Monterey. With my converted linux laptops Im running Ubuntu 20.4. Everything except the displays worked. I tried to install drivers but I ended up having to reinstall Ubuntu. I don’t think it has to do with this docking station, it looks like there’s some issues with Ubuntu 20.4 with displaylink drivers and hardware that they are trying to fix. Same problem with my MacBook. All of my accessories worked except the displays. The reason for this was also not the dock’s fault but an issue with Monterey if that’s your current OS. Apple is working on a fix right now but anything using displayLink will not work as of now. The accessories I have running through the docking station are my iphone, which was visible on all three laptops, a microphone, a soundbar, keyboard and mouse, as well as an external hard drive. They all worked flawlessly on this docking station. This docking station is also lightweight. I love all the adapters that are included with it. If you aren’t going to use them with this docking station you can use them for something else. Usually you don’t get these types of adapters included so i was stoked! The power cord is way too short which is weird because they give you a super long usb cable… All in all it’s a good docking station. Just be aware the displays might or might not work and can change with system updates. A lot of people who had display link devices before an upgrade said they were working before the upgrade and then stopped working after. It’s just something to be aware of and look into before upgrading your OS.

This Wavlink docking station works great for my Dell Latitude 5300. It is true plug and play with no software to install. I had been searching for a docking station that did not connect to my laptop via the C Port, as I needed that for an external touchscreen monitor. This is the perfect solution for that problem since it plugs in via USB. The monitor output is great. I dont see any decreased resolution whatsoever and the docking station came with several adapters so I had no problems getting two monitors hooked up.

I believe this does what its supposed to do but I got it mainly because I wanted to connect my switch to my computer without having to disconnect my 2nd monitor but i connected my switch to it and it didnt work so IDK if I was doing something wrong but I really wanted it to work

I recently picked up a 13.3 laptop and it is severely lacking in connection options. It has 2 USB-A ports, a USB-C port and 3.5mm jack, besides the power connection thats it. This is working perfectly to keep everything connected AND to keep me from having unplug disconnect a bunch of wires every time I need to pick it up and walk into a conference room or head out to meet with a client. This is precisely what I needed AND the fact that it is powered from a connection through the USB-A port means that it isnt monopolizing the USB-C / Thunderbolt connection. The only issue I had with it was that connecting a Logitech USB Wireless Dongle. Trying to run the wireless mouse through this was SUPER SUPER laggy. It was almost unusable. Outside of that, very pleased with it. Very pleased with it.

This is a niche hub product, but it might suit you very well. PRO -Lots of USB 3 ports -3.5mm audio -Comparatively sturdy upright design for cable-heavy installations -HD @ 60hz, single monitor options somewhat better -2 year warranty CON -No support for HDCP -No host power -No DisplayPort -No 4K monitor support -No USB-C ports -Probably no fast-charge ports Im not certain, but I wonder whether this model is a transitional one? Perhaps thats the reason for the omitted port options. The niche appears to be this: -You have USB 3 and its your fastest available USB port -You have few USB-C format adapters -Youre not using DisplayPort -Your hub isnt going to be used for power (typically, Thunderbolt host hubs) For more, check the Synaptics / DisplayLink Wikipedia page to better understand the standard which certifies this device.

I’ve used multiple Wavlink docks at my work. This is my go-to brand. I purchased the WAVLINK USB 3.0 Universal Laptop Docking Station Dual Monitor for Windows and Mac for this reason. My wife works from home and has a MacBook laptop with 1 monitor. She also needs multiple USB ports. This Wavlink dock has 6 USB ports. It is a powered dock, vs a port replicator, so you need to have power nearby. This is a great dock if you are running 2 monitors with your laptop. One monitor needs to be VGA or DVI, while the other can be HDMI. You also get a network connection. I wish this dock had 2 HDMI ports and a couple of USB-C ports, but it doesn’t. This is a solid dock that should meet your needs if it has all the ports you need.

The first thing I noticed case itself is very very high quality. Then I started testing ports and realized that every port is Extremely durable. With my experience this product will always work as advertised, and work for a very long time. I personally use it on my desktop, it works great with linux as well as windows!

I have a desktop and a laptop. I wanted to set up a 2nd workstation in my office for the laptop. The laptop is an older ThinkPad but still works very well. I saw this WavLink docking station. Since Ive successfully use their network products for a while now I trusted that it would work as advertised and I was right. This docking station fits my need perfectly. I have 2 older 24 monitors that have HDMI inputs. I also have an extra wired keyboard and mouse. I figured I was set. I hooked up the docking station to the laptop with the supplied high speed USB cable. One monitor I connected direct to the HDMI port on the docking station and the other to the DVI port using the DVI to HDMI adapter supplied with the docking station. Plugged in the power supply. I connected the keyboard and mouse to 2 of the USB 2.0 ports on the docking station. Since I use the laptop in the office on WiFi and the printer connected to the laptop by WiFi I didnt have to worry about the network connection or configuring the printer.. I fired it up and everything was groovy. I set up the laptop for dual monitor use and extended the desktop onto the 2nd monitor. I then set up the laptop so I could close the top and still work. Instant 2nd workstation! Best of all, all I need to do is detach the USB adapter from the laptop and take it when I want and just plug it when Im back. This is an ideal solution!
