> 3 dayDidnt get instructions about getting the Acronis drive backup/copy software as was listed in item description. I DO NOT want to pay monthly subscription price for the software I would use maybe once or twice a month. Too expensive for that.

> 3 dayI have mostly been buying toshiba drives but this one is nice and quiet (about the same noise level as toshiba) and twice as fast! I was super impressed with the speed. I have seen peaks of around 100 megabytes and sustained rates of 80 megabytes of both read and write. small and thin no problem fitting into my laptop. (keep in mind that many factors influence speed) I have had it for a few weeks now and no problems. tested it thoroughly before installing. only time will tell about its durability, but I have external western digital drives that have lasted for many years, no reason to think that this one wont be just as durable. I will update this review if I encounter any problems. June 2022

> 3 dayI have little knowledge when it comea to computer related tech. I got a really beefy laptop that only had about 500 GB of internal memory, which for gaming isnt too great. The same friend suggested this kind of storage so I took the risk and bought one. It came without screws, which sucks but I knew this ahead of time and managed to prepare accordingly (a bit too well seeing as I have 297 more screws put aside). Install was easy, almost too easy and I actually was worried I messed things up. But it worked, and everything is going swimmingly. If youre on the fence about getting one, or are afraid to mess it up somehow (maybe its your first one?), all I can say is that I went for it, it was super simple, and its all been worth it :]

> 3 dayI chose this mechanical hard drive for use to back up specific files from a bunch different computers; I put it in a portable enclosure I can move from one machine to another. Why a mechanical drive? SSDs don’t have the track record for data longevity that I needed for this application. This is data I absolutely must keep, so the potential for an SSD’s nonvolatile memory chips to have any problems wasn’t something I wanted to deal with. Also, the price point for mechanical hard drives (from reliable brands/sources) is still lower than for similar-capacity SSDs (from reliable brands/sources). The drive was easy to install - my enclosure mimics a laptop’s hard drive bay - and it spun up and ran from the start without issues. This was a great choice for my uses, and I’d buy another if and when I need it.

> 3 dayI mainly got this to expand the storage. Its a shame that for laptops, the storage seems to only go up to 2TB. Oh well, the hard drive was upgraded. I am also researching what to upgrade the HP 17 ca laptop with, as far as the M.2 SSD.

> 3 dayReads 2TB but came with an all white sticker over where the usual WD Blue stickers/emblems normally resided.. seems to work fine but does not resemble images
