WD Western Digital 2TB 2.5 128MB SATA III Hard Drive for Laptops, PS4 (WD20SPZX)

I have little knowledge when it comea to computer related tech. I got a really beefy laptop that only had about 500 GB of internal memory, which for gaming isnt too great. The same friend suggested this kind of storage so I took the risk and bought one. It came without screws, which sucks but I knew this ahead of time and managed to prepare accordingly (a bit too well seeing as I have 297 more screws put aside). Install was easy, almost too easy and I actually was worried I messed things up. But it worked, and everything is going swimmingly. If youre on the fence about getting one, or are afraid to mess it up somehow (maybe its your first one?), all I can say is that I went for it, it was super simple, and its all been worth it :]

Purchased a a 2TB WD Blue from this company thru Amazon. When I went to register the drive warranty with WD, they politely informed me that the Disk Drive is OEM intended integration into a fully assembled system. WD does not provide warranty support for WD products purchased by systems integrators. I dont know if Chilison, who sells beans and hot sauce, will provide any warranty service for a computer disk drive, but I an unwilling to be disappointed or spend hours finding out. If warranty is not an issue for you, they did deliver it before their committed date.

This is the second on i bought from this seller and the first was great, no issues but this last one was not brand new . It had a PS 4 system on it and I was unable to get it working to my laptop. I even took it to a professional and he said the files were corrupted and it wouldnt even format correctly. He suggested that i send it back to get another or get my money back which is what intend to do.

Was very skeptical especially now days thought it was a scam I bought 2 of em installed them they read fine been testing them now for several days and tuning a few test and so far everything checked out The price is 100% unbeatable for a 2tb ssd best deal anywhere online so good I bought 2 more cuz I always use them bought more tho cuz you don’t know how long these will Be around for

Whether you need portability or want/need to save desk space, this drive paired with a USB 3 enclosure is a good buy for large extra storage, keeping backups, or both. Not nearly as fast an SSD, though plenty for HD streaming (for example), HDDs have a much higher value price per gigabyte/terabyte ratio. You can hear the whirr of the platters however, theres no drive access noise -- at least not with the unit I received. On the more nerdy front, Im seeing 100+ MB/s write and 110+ MB/s read benchmarks. I have this drive in an OWC Mercury Elite Pro Mini.

I mainly got this to expand the storage. Its a shame that for laptops, the storage seems to only go up to 2TB. Oh well, the hard drive was upgraded. I am also researching what to upgrade the HP 17 ca laptop with, as far as the M.2 SSD.

I bought this to use as secondary drive in laptop. It fit my hard drive caddy perfectly. Works with Windows 11, but i assume it would work just fine with earlier versions of Windows. Had to go to Computer Management to initialize drive before using. One sidenote: Partition using MBR instead of GPT if using on older versions of Windows.
