When I first installed this, the socket did not recognize, I was using ASUS Z590 ROG motherboard. I almost returned the drive but, tested in another socket of GEN3 and it was working fine. So the SSD was fine, it was only ASUS motherboard had some specific setting for M.2_2 socket. After that it was smooth, the drive is excellent performance, runs little warmer, and consumes more power in idle, this helps in quick waking up. Overall great product, will keep posted on performance after some months
