The Western Digital Black M2 solid state drive works very well except under a full load. In this case it runs very very hot. In the future I will purchase the Seagate Frecuda 530 as it runs a lot cooler then the Western Digital Black.

When I first installed this, the socket did not recognize, I was using ASUS Z590 ROG motherboard. I almost returned the drive but, tested in another socket of GEN3 and it was working fine. So the SSD was fine, it was only ASUS motherboard had some specific setting for M.2_2 socket. After that it was smooth, the drive is excellent performance, runs little warmer, and consumes more power in idle, this helps in quick waking up. Overall great product, will keep posted on performance after some months

Dont hesitate to buy it and install it it is easy and worth the price the speed is great. Its worth every penny

I paired mine with MHQJRH heatsink . It all went together very well even for a first timers. I would absolutely recommend this ssd, Ive been storing and transferring games from a regular HDD and OMG this is probably 100 times faster. I would say a regular 50-70gb game seamed to take 20 mins to transfer before, and now its under one minute. Yes absolutely buy this SSD.
