Western Chief Kids Character Umbrella

Our last frog umbrella broke after three years of usage starting at boy age 5. This is our replacement and it seems as wonderful as the first one; It’s Sturdy, Bright, the Colors are Excellent and Intact. Handle seems strong and hook handle fits his hand for perfect grip!!

This is an adorable umbrella. My little girl loves it and her friends want one, too. Guess that gives it 5 stars. By the way, the photos dont do it justice. And if anyone is worried about durability, dont be. The antennae securely retract into the umbrella when its not in use. My daughter plays with this umbrella as much as possible, which has been a lot this spring as it has rained tremendously.

My daughters love these. They always want to bring them whether it is raining or not. When we are home they prance around the house with them over their shoulders. BTW they work well to turn the rain and are a perfect match for their Hello Kitty rain coats and boots. Functional and beautiful and just as durable as any umbrella I have ever seen. Very nice product. Recommended.

I absolutely loved the picture quality and true to Ariel image. My 3 year old was so excited. However, it has already broken. This is with VERY little use, we live in San Diego, CA so we dont have a ton of rain, maybe a handful of rains and this umbrella is going in the trash. This was not a cheap product, so it is disappointing. I hate writing negative reviews, so Ill say this, if you arent looking for longevity, rather, the look of Ariel, then this is a great umbrella; but if you want one that will last, I would pass.

This little umbrella is adorable!! Our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter adored it, gave it a name and carried it everywhere. On our last visit with her, there was no rain so we filled her little garden watering can and sprinkled it over it while she stood under it and giggled! She carried over her head in the bright sun on our walks to the park and even wanted to have it opened up in the house! We showed her how to open and close it which is very, very child friendly and did not pinch her little fingers. We bought the green frog since her favorite color is green! A perfect, useful and fun gift that was just the right size for a little one!

Terrible product!! Absolutely falls apart within a few minutes of opening it! First the top knob comes off, then all of the cloth comes out of the little attachments. So awful! Don’t waste your time!!!!

Great and looks just like the picture. Only downside is its somewhat small so it would be great for someone 5 or under.

I gave it 3 stars bc it is super cute and perfect for a little girl. Other than the plastic frame, the rest of it is pretty good quality--as good as any other kids umbrella for this price. The problem I have is that the frame is not metal. The description says its plastic. I think its more like a fiber glass material. My almost 2 year old broke it within minutes. I tried to fix it, and found that the when I touched the broken part, it left a bunch of tiny splinter-like prickles all over my hands. She still likes it despite one broken prong, as it is super cute, but Im super disappointed that a kids umbrella is made of such a weak material.

Purchased this umbrella as a Christmas gift for my 4-year-old granddaughter who this year has adopted a full-on Batman persona!! She couldnt be happier, having received a number of Batman insignia gifts. However, I have a beef with Western Chief Kids Clothing Company. I wonder why the description calls this a Little Boys Batman umbrella... Either sexist labeling, or perhaps an error on their part, but I just cringe when I read gender labeling on so many items, from so many companies, that continues to direct young minds to one gender or another. I really thought, certainly hoped, that we were beyond that... Otherwise, this would have been a five-star rating.
