Laptop was running slow and freezing up. Found out it was the hard drive so tried this brand and now it runs better than it ever did. Ssd really makes a difference in performance. Just make sure you get a good drive cloning software to swap all your files and operating system.

Not much to say, but very simple to install, and its a vast improvement over a mechanical HDD. If you want to speed up your laptop, then just go ahead and max out your RAM and get one of these. I have WD Blue in my other laptops, and I can see no discernable difference in performance between WD Green and WD Blue. I will only get Green in future. No need to waste money on Blue.

The brend

Pros - it was easy to pop in. One screw held in the DVDROM. And two more on the mount. SAVE THE SCREWS. Drops right in the caddy, caddy plugs right in. Cons - My Windows 8.1 did not recognize the drive. I had to do a little digging in the control manager before I found where to format it. Overall, its working fine, and now I have 1.5TB on my laptop, used for my karaoke business. I havent used the DVDROM in ages, nice to upgrade and eliminate wasted space.

Its not the first time I buy WD SSDs, and I wont regret this one either. Here, in Peru, where I live this is about 300USD and definitely not worth the price. Got it for 99USD here, got no regrets.
