WD Blue SN550 500GB NVMe Internal SSD - Gen3 x4 PCIe 8Gb/s, M.2 2280, 3D NAND, Up to 2,400 MB/s - WDS500G2B0C I am using this in an external USB-C connected enclosure. In Windows 10, formatted with a NFS filesystem it ends up yielding 465 GB of usable storage. The drive itself is very slim and its dimensions are 80mm L x 20mm W.

Bought a used Surface Pro 4 on eBay with a bad drive. Installed this SSD and installed W10 Pro and it’s working great. WD claims 2,400MB/s read and 1,750MB/s write for the 500GB SN550 model. Must be something with the SP4 slowing it down. Maybe it’s not utilizing PCIe Gen3 as this drive is rated for. Still good speeds though. Especially for what the SP4 is being used for, web browsing, email and some streaming. It’s great that it comes with a 5 yr warranty. That’s reassuring.

Tried to replace a 250GB SSD with this one, and it would only boot 1 out of 10 tries. Got worse over time. Wouldnt recommend for a replacement boot drive.

Screwed it in. Installed windows. No issues with it. Plenty with windows lol

I installed it onto GIGABYTE B450M DS3H motherboard together with a 1TB HDD. Works perfectly. Speed is insane. PC Boot time is minimal. Great value for the price.

Works. Very fast boot, transferred 29gbs from sata 3 western digital ssd from this nvme pcie m.2 in about 3.5 minutes. Insane.

i recieved what was supposed to be the ssd and it was a empty package

Bought as backup for certain uses on my PC. Is as advertised, works great, easily installed. Have had no issues so far.
