The drive keeps crashing and tanking my system. the entire system freezes until i remove the drive. BUYERS BEWARE DO NOT BY FROM THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL RECEIVE NONWORKING PRODUCTS.

I purchased this drive to use as a backup for my photo archive. Unfortunately, it was never recognized as ever being connected to my Mac with an external case. I also tried it both externally in a case and internally on a Windows PC and in both instances, it was also never recognized as being attached or installed. After a few months of trying to find different methods to get the drive recognized on either machine, I am still no closer to getting this drive to be recognized and, therefore, formatted on any device. BTW, I did use a different NVMe, that was already installed in my Windows PC, in the case. That SSD was recognized by both my Mac and Windows PC, so there is not an issue with the case.

Updated a Late 2013 MacBook Pro (with the required adapter). It worked!

Thought that this NVME drive would give me better speed in my Gigabyte GA-AB350-Gaming board. It is just the same as the Crucial SSD m.2 card that I had in there.

This drive is great for general use it can be used as a primary boot drive, a drive for games and programs, and even light productivity use. Testing with CrystalMark shows the drive delivers the read and write speeds advertised and that WD hasnt swapped out to cheaper parts after reviews like some other brands have.

I liked how fast the SSD loaded up my video games, the storage isnt really the best in the world but 500 Gigabytes is still a lot to work with. I added the SSD to my PC build and now its complete and the product is one of the best that Ive ever used and is really good for the price it is sold at.
