I just tried to install. They give you nothing BUT the SSD card. You cant install without the screw. What a colossal F up.

As i said, this is a very good SSD. Fast access. BIG space. It has the WIN 11 os on it only. Dell shipped the computer with 256gb SSD which was almost overloaded with WIN 10. Unforgivable. If i didnt know better, they should have. Easy to install after transferring Win 10 with AOMEI soft ware and a pci card for the old SSD. The elastic bands that were shipped with the ssd to attach the heat sink broke. I havent touched it. It works so I dont want to mess with it.

This drive went into my girlfriend’s pc as a game drive. Plenty of high speed space! She’s going to love it!

Eat to install and now can boot computer up in less then 10 secs

My husband has many computers and computer components as his works requires lots of computer work. I knew he’d want this when I saw it. He said he was happy to see that Western Digital updated their SN500 line to have higher performance while still being affordable. This one replaced a three year old 250GB M.2 2280 made by a company widely known for their high-end SSDs. Going off of the published numbers, this one is slightly slower but the same Bonnie++ benchmark run on both of them gives nearly identical performance. Smartmontools shows that it runs several degrees cooler and that may be because this one has only one large chip as compared to the older one. Obviously, I wont be able to comment on its longevity for several months but it slogged through a 24-hour burn-in benchmark without any errors and has worked flawlessly since my husband first powered it on and he’s been extremely happy with it. Highly recommend!

windows 10 sucks but this makes it a little better

Just got this installed. Im using this with a pcie adapter for booting my windows 10 os. This is so fast compared to just my old ssd. Even a few of my modeling softwares that are on the same drive start up so fast especially when i load very massive files. Overall im very happy with the speed. I will be getting a larger one in the future.
