No issues with this NVMe. I have built a few general purpose PCs using it as a boot (well the only) device and it works great for any PC build. However, for about $5 more maybe consider the older model Black sn750 that has better specs for not too much more money. Performance of the black will become more apparent with capacity 1TB and greater but at 500GB Blue is going to work just fine.

I am a DJ and karaoke host. I installed this and all my music now resides on it within my laptop. Music is accessed, scanned and played quicker than it has on any external hard drive including my SSD external 2TB Scandisk Pro. MUCH QUICKER! Great investment!

Very good off Amazon Warehouse. To help save the planet, I buy (mostly) Amazon Warehouse products. This one was no different, and had no impact on the preformance. Over the NVME 4.0 bus with a 11400, I was achieving ~2200mbps read and writes on the 500gb variant. Would recommend as a boot drive, but at that size for anyone with storage needs, thats about it.

After cloning C: Drive using MACRIUM Free Edition. Changed my M.2 SATA to this NVME M.2. Works well so far. Just note to direct the BIOS to the new drive to boot.

After testing the M.2 SSD WD Blue SN550 with PCIe Gen3.0 x4 interface, we were convinced of the superiority of the NVMe protocol over SATA. If you need fast loading of games, content creation and processing programs, this SSD is for you. Took a long time to boot up your old PC or laptop? Make a small upgrade and forget about the problem. If 500GB doesnt seem like enough for you, theres a 1TB model in the current lineup. Good luck! Gg wp

If Windows 10 is predictably bogging down your SATA SSD, then you need to make the switch to this NVMe unit. (What bloat will Microsoft add to slow Windows down next?)
