Our iPad was for our kids and if it wasnt an old iPad mini 2, I wouldve paid the extra money to get it installed. Its not so much that its hard to install its the fact that youll deal with a lot of glass and it can be very easy to scratch the lcd underneath. It was pretty simple to find videos on how to change this on Youtube. Our screen was cracked pretty bad which meant a lot of loose small glass pieces everywhere. Even when I was super careful, glass seemed to get everywhere. Also a pain to not touch the LCD. The video was right, once you touch it, no matter how well you clean it, it will never look the same. Pro tip: make sure you line up the LCD straight once you put the digitizer back onto the device as its easy to set it in slightly crooked with the new adhesive. Its for my kids, so not a big deal to me, but it would save you on having to open it back up again.

Good replacement part.

The adhesion seems adequate, though I’m sure it’s not as sticky as the tenacious stickum that I had to practically chisel off to remove the broken OEM digitizer. Installation is a PITA. Luckily I’m handy, have replaced several screens before, and was smart enough to take breaks when I got frustrated. Once again Amazon asks me to rate “sheerness”. Well this thing is pretty sheer. You can see right through it. To wrap up, my wife is happy that her iPad no longer has a web of cracks in its screen. No complaints, is working as it should.

It is don’t come with the install tool.but it is ok.i have the tool. The adhesive tape not sticky enough.the home buttom don’t work properly.after couple weeks the touch screen is not working out sometimes .bad quality.
