> 3 dayEasy to put on a 10.5mm rope and will grab the heck out of the rope so you dont go anywhere. I have problem descending with it. Until I get the feel for it--- it is either locked on the rope or you pull the cam and you free fall until you release the cam

> 3 dayIm still getting the hang of substituting this for a Prussic Knot. It is extremely easy to adjust compared to using a Blakes Hitch or the Prussic Knot.

> 3 dayThese(I got two) are ez to use and work flawlessly. However I did make a mistake and bought 8 mm line/rope and it was too small. Got 11mm rope and it’s a perfect fit…….get the right size rope and your gonna love it!

> 3 dayAs to the Easy To Use rating - I base that on a video that uses it for a tree safety line for deer stand hunting. With the Value For Money rating - I am frugal, but would have rated it higher if I had a choice of color more in line with what a Hunter would choose - camo, forest green, dark brown or black.

Greater than one weekExcellent tool used with my linemans belt for setting up hunting tree stands. Highly recommend this tool for that purpose.

> 3 dayIm looking to use this for deer hunting. I ordered one to be used on a lanyard, and liked it so much that I ordered a second one for ascending/descending a full lifeline. While practicing at low heights, assuming a hunters safety line to the ground, these work great. I want to know that, in the event of a fall, I can safely perform a self-rescue and I definitely can with these. I tried using the HSS prusik knot for descending, but found that I couldnt get it to slide once loaded with my full body weight. If I take at least one of these with me ( with an extra climbing carabiner and my suspension relief strap ), then I know that I can relieve the tension from the prusik and utilize it in combination with the Ropeman1 to inch-worm my way down the rope. Otherwise, youll have to learn how to climb a rope using the old brake and squat, like a Navy Seal or a Marine. If you hunt from an elevated position, please use a safety rope, and please take the time to figure out ( and test ) a method to get to the ground safely. In my personal opinion, all hunter safety systems still need to catch up with the standards that climbers and arborists utilize, and the Ropeman a step in that direction.

Greater than one weekNot sure why it took me so long to get on board. This little guy is so simple it makes scaling a tree safe and simple and allows the use of both hands wile hanging a tree stand. Never climb another tree unsafe!
