Just received it but on appearance looks solid well built. Really excited about putting it in to my hunting gear. I will provide a follow-up later

I actually dont use this Ascender for rock climbing. I made my own linemans belt for climbing trees and used this instead of a prussik knot. Works great! The best part is being able to adjust the amount of slack in either direction with just one hand! Its smoother, lighter, and less bulky than a prussik knot.

What I wanted

Just fits the Tethrd tree saddle ropes. I feel a lot safer with these than with traditional Prusik knots, though those do work if done properly.

Excellent & perfect for linemans rope...
