Not sure where Winsor & Newton oils rank in the world of professional oil paints, but I can tell you that they work well for my needs. The paints are almost blended perfectly. Rarely do I have to use a thickening or thinning agent as they just seem balanced almost perfectly. Not too hard, not too thin. I have ordered several colors and continue to come back to this name brand when I need different ones, or even reorders. To me, you cant go wrong with this name brand.

Seemed to be dried out

This is a huge tube of paint. It’s a great value for the money. I’m so new to painting, and I’m not very good. But it really is fun. I started out with the bob ross kit and tutorial. But there’s really no need to continue purchasing those expensive paints. This brand is perfect for the wet-on-wet technique, there’s so much paint in this tube. I will come back to buy this product when I run out.

I really dont find these paints to be anything like oils at all. Not a substitute.

These oils are fantastic. They apply like regular oils, but without the mess or smell. I will use nothing else now.
