I like the color selection in the set.

They are made in China. It is worth it to spend more and get the professional grade, even if you are a beginner watercolorist, because better quality paints will give you more joy in painting. I was sorry to see that Winsor Newton sold out their student grade for China to produce. I worry about toxicity. I returned it because it was made in China.

Good beginner set.

It was recommended by an artist who was teaching a watercolor class to purchase Winsor & Newton Cotman water colors. It is important to have good paints to get the effect you want. This set gave a nice choice of colors to start me off. It was a good price compared to Michaels.

I love these paints. Theyre vibrant, easy to work with, blend well and are perfectly happy refilling my cotman travel pallet. Amazing for beginners and students, especially for the price.
