> 24 hourThe paints are really high quality, nice design, but the water brush didn’t work right.

> 24 hourLove this little pallet! So perfect for travel and the colors allow for great mixing! I only wish instead of the two blacks/grey there was a burnt umber pat instead! But i still love this especially for how cheap it is.

> 24 hourSuch a lovely set of watercolors. Here are my personal pros and cons. PROS: -Great quality paint-- vibrant and blendable -Color selection is good-- two wonderful shades of blue, very bright yellow hue, grassy green and bluish green, a very pigmented purple, and a white is included as well - the individual paints are in removable pans, allowing you to arrange them how you wish and to replace pans - the design of the container keeps the paint pans in place no matter how hard you shake it. In most metal palettes, even very high quality ones like Sennelier, the pans can easily fall out of their intended places and jumble around. This Winsor and Newton palette keeps all the pans snug in their spots securely. - a great travel option - the water brush doesnt look like much, but is actually capable of a lot! To test this brush, I went several weeks using it as my primary brush. It is small but it works quite well for lots of different techniques, aside from large washes, which you will always want a big mop-style brush for. -the mixing area stays flat when you open it, so the paints dont run or pool at the the bottom CONS: -the cakes of paint can fall out of the pans, but this can easily be avoided by exercising a bit of caution -you cant really get a good orange with the paints in this palette. The red provided is more of a pinkish red than a yellowish red, so it creates a bit of a muddy orange when mixed with yellow. The burnt sienna can be used to make a suitable autumn orange, but you cannot get a bright, sherbet-hued orange with the colors provided. Overall - I love this set and am glad that I purchased it.

> 24 hourIt’s perfect! If you need a “lil” watercolor in your life this ones a winner. It’s too cute. I placed the worlds tiniest magic 8 ball and my airpod pros on top of my ipad pro for size reference.

> 24 hourThese are awesome paints. I have always liked Winsor & Newton paints, both student and professional grade, and used them for years, so I felt confident purchasing the Winsor & Newton 0390658 Cotman Water Colour Paint Water Pen Set, Set of 12, Half Pans. I purposely decided to buy the this set because I wanted a self contained set that included a water brush inside the palette. I thought this would be a great idea for sketching on the go, that is, until I used the water brush. The water brush leaks water droplets all over the place from around the brush tip, messing up my work. Plus paint pigment gets wicked up from the brush tip inside of the water reservoir. This contaminates the clear water in the reservoir so that subsequent pigments get contaminated. This makes it completely useless. Ive used several water brushes from inexpensive to expensive, a variety of brands, and have never had one perform this poorly to where Im wondering if maybe I have a dud(??) Another thing, the palette area of the box sits up higher and at an angle to the lid mixing area. Not sure what the purpose of this is. Its a bit awkward to work with. If theres a reason for this unusual design Id like to know. Im feeling a bit disappointed with this set right now, mostly because of the water brush that doesnt work.

> 24 hourI bought this set many years ago at Michaels. I did a swatch then (the small one with green writing) and the colors seemed faded and not as vibrant. Dont know if its the paper, not enough paint/too much water, or simply the testament to time. (Set was hardly taken out.) If you want something to just play around with as a beginner, you CAN get this set, but honestly feel you can do better with another brand for the same price (or lower!) Also, this set in particular seems so weird. They couldve done without the white and the gray or black. There was only 1 yellow. (I assume thats why there is another set.)

> 24 hourIt is very hard to clean the attached palette because it does now come off of the watercolor block. This makes it very hard to clean the palette without getting all of the paint blocks wet in the process. I ended up using a separate palette.
