> 3 dayThis is a great little pallette without being too tiny. The pans are removable and refillable and theres plenty of room to mix colors.

> 3 daythe box is really portable. the pigments seem a little light and it takes a lot of layers / very little water to get dark colors for some of them. the pans of color themselves vary in size and have a habit of falling out when the box gets turned around until you use it for a little bit. all of these issues are whatever for me personally because im just playing around and its an affordable set for that ($15). however, my big issue is with the brush pen. the pen dispenses a lot of water and it makes it hard to work with as it makes your paper very, very wet unless you dab a lot / use another brush. also, my brush pen has its bristles retract into the brush. theres a little plastic bit that i imagine is supposed to keep the bristles in place, but its loose and flopping around inside the tip and as far as i know theres no way for me to fix it.

> 3 dayWhen I first received my Cotman set there were two of Sap Greens and it was missing the darker green color pan. Amazon sent me a replacement a week later and I have loved this set. Other reviewers have also mentioned the size of the palette but I just had no idea how tiny it was. It’s actually pretty cute and fits in the palm of my hand. I posted a photo of it next to a standard stapler and a quarter for comparison. I primarily use it for cardmaking and find the colors very easy to blend when making backgrounds. The colors mix very well together also. The one thing I did not care for was the brush pen. The flow of water is too heavy even when I don’t squeeze the pen at all. It’s too hard to control and impossible to use for small detailed areas.

> 3 dayLove this little kit. Its super portable and has a good range of basic colors. Great for painting outdoors. The brushpen it comes with lets a little too much water thru for my liking but I take the brush part off and use it like a regular paintbrush and it works very nicely. This kit probably wouldnt be the best for making finished watercolor pieces but is perfect for watercolor sketches or small subject studies.

> 3 dayIs an awesome product for urban sketching, despite the quality of the brush pen isnt the best but it still professional looking, minimalist and very portable.

> 3 dayAt first I thought the pen brush was incomplete until I looked closer and noticed the tip was inside the water reservoir. Cool way to protect the tip. I’m very happy with the ease and simplicity of this product

> 3 dayThe colors are beautiful, but the paint is very grainy- so that was a deal breaker. The package itself is very poorly designed. The lid never seems secure, the paint falls out with any movement, so I am not sure it is convenient for traveling.
