Ive had them for a few months now and they have not gone out and still output a good amount of head during the night

I think it works well. I just bought the wrong wattage. It would probably be good in a ten gallon glass terrarium, (always monitor temp to be sure) However my tortoise house is a lot bigger, the light holder area is farther up and it’s made of cedar so the heat dissipates. I’m not able to even maintain above 80 degrees with this lamp in the large and open enclosure. I am going to get the 150 watt and see if that gives my little tortoise a better temp in his house. The digital thermometer included with this purchase works well.

The price was good, and I like the bonus battery operated digital thermometer, but one of the lamps was defective. Tried to install it in my dome and it wouldn’t go in. Upon closer look, it was obvious the end was defective, it was crooked. I’m glad it was a two pack, at least I do have one bulb that I can use keep my Leo warm. Hopefully my replacement that is supposedly on the way will not have this issue. I really dislike having to return items. Quality control is a big deal!!! It completely un-does the convenience of being able to shop from home. And I’m not sure how safe electric items are from China anyway, since they do not carry the same ratings as the US.??

Love em, lasting pre long so far, happy with the heat output.

These CHE were placed in dome reptile fixtures that were the correct amp/watt for their size. We immediately began to smell a rich chocolate smell, which is an indicator that there is an electrical problem. After checking the outlets and fixtures, we changed out these cheap CHE with a name brand, and the problem was solved. Now I know why they were cheaper than other brands. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Product works good. Had one bulb blow out but could have been an error on my half.

They dont do the same job as a regular basking light but they will at least get us by. I have never bought a different brand before so I do not have anything to compare them to but I do wish they were warmer so my turtles arent cold at night. I might need to just buy a heater because when I wake up my turtles in the morning they are cold.

My daughter got herself a Leopard Gecko, and after much research decided an Under Tank Heater is the way to go in her ten gallo tank. And like a good pet owner she measured the temperature carefully. The UTH was not enough. Perhaps because of the aquarium type tank, or sub par UTH, not sure. So she supplemented with an adjustable heat lamp and was excited to get the bulbs as a pair. It has hit target temperatures for weeks now, shows no sign of stopping, and we have a back up.

One bulb crapped out after only 5 weeks of moderate use - return window closed 1 week prior. The other bulb is working fine. Frustrating, I paid $11 for one bulb, not what I had wanted to do. And my faith in it is less now. I wouldnt order these again.

These burn out quickly, but so do the expensive ones. So these are a solid buy for anyone who has reptiles that need nighttime heat.
