So far so good. Only thing is the thermometer is for an aquarium . I have only tried one of the heat lamps so hopefully the other one is good also .

Its doesnt work good. It burns easily. I use mine for one week and now its stop working the bad thing is I have baby cockatiels that needs heater. I thought its working overnight but when I check this morning its cold and not heating up. My baby birds get cold..

The units worked as advertised. I had never used ceramic heaters before and wasnt sure if they would run hotter than incandescent heat lamps since part of the energy doesnt produce visible visible light like the incandescent bulbs. There doesnt seem to be any significant difference. You can just treat the wattages as equivalent. The surface area does matter. Consider the watts per square inch when substituting for incandescent bulbs.

I think it works well. I just bought the wrong wattage. It would probably be good in a ten gallon glass terrarium, (always monitor temp to be sure) However my tortoise house is a lot bigger, the light holder area is farther up and it’s made of cedar so the heat dissipates. I’m not able to even maintain above 80 degrees with this lamp in the large and open enclosure. I am going to get the 150 watt and see if that gives my little tortoise a better temp in his house. The digital thermometer included with this purchase works well.

Eh. Doesnt put out much heat. Something inside the bulb rattles so maybe broken. No battery for temp reader.
