Greater than one weekI’ve used the traditional heat lamps in the past that put out a lot of light when their on. I like these that there isn’t any light when their putting out heat. I’ll be using these under my hummingbird feeders to keep the hummingbirds fluid from freezing in the cold weather next winter. Have used regular 100 watt light bulbs in the past for this purpose. But I am expecting these heat lamps to be a much better bulb to keep my hummingbird feeders warm enough to keep their food water from freezing I’m hoping? Don’t know how long these will last yet either? Hopefully they hold up a long time?

Greater than one weekI bought these two items for my aquatic turtle aquarium. I have the temperature control placed where it is easily readable when approaching the tank without bothering Tommy Boy if he happens to be sun bathing at the time. I have the ceramic lamp positioned right next to the day lamps and they are on a timer so I don’t have to reach over the tank to turn them on and off. This is my first aquatic turtle and I’m learning what makes him happy and keeps him healthy. I thought these items were reasonable priced. Update: Heat lamp still works great-no problem there. However, the digital thermometer that came with it stopped functioning correctly after only 5 months. It shows the water temp as continuously rising even though the water temp is steady at 75 degrees, as verified by two other thermometers. Not a deal breaker, just be aware that it is a good idea to have more than one thermometer to monitor the tank water.

> 3 dayused for my 38x19x24 hedgehog cage and it works perfect with both running. Also the mini thermometer is handy for keeping track of both sides when running a thermostat

22-11-2024I used this product for a few of my reptiles who absolutely love the new addition to their tank! I was able to get it at a low price but amazing quality. they didn’t need a high wattage and these were perfect! definitely recommend this product to anyone that has use for it!

Greater than one weekThese are a great idea but seem a little inconsistent. We put one of these bulbs in a heat lamp and hung it inside our glass-enclosed popcorn popper with the included thermometer and the temperature never stayed at anything steady - varied wildy from 95 to 110 degrees within a couple of minutes. I dont know if the issue is with the ceramic bulb or the thermometer.

Greater than one weekFranks previous ceramic bulb had a swiffer incident. Apparently a split second is all it takes for a room to smell like burnt plastic... Anyways, trauma in the past, he is now enjoying the warmth and comfort of his new ceramic bulb. So far its working great and providing the adequate heat that he needs to sleep his regular 18hrs a day, eat for an hour, wreck havoc, and take a few naps in between. As far as owner feedback, this was a great deal for two bulbs! Now I have a handy extra in case one of my other bulbs goes out or someone else gets a bit too close with the swiffer. The extra thermometer is a nice touch too. Its nice to have backups.
