Amazon -- they did their normally good job until I had problems (see below)-then they just gave me the Microsoft Xbox support number. Microsoft -- This may be humorous to people that have played Xbox before but I could not figure out how to get out of the game. Their manual (as all M/S manuals are useless) did not help. To be fair the setup brochure was simple, clear with diagrams; the whole setup was fairly easy and straight forward (I should mention that I have no WiFi so I did not have to deal with Live Xbox). So I am stuck in the Adventure game-not wanting to break my Xbox on day one. I called the M/S support number. The first person had no idea of what I was talking about. She transferred me to the Kinect specialist who after many attempts finally told me to press the Xbox button plus the Y button to get to the Dashboard. None of this is in the manual. I also asked about the lag problem and I was put on hold and then disconnected. I have called support on this and got no help (They say it is the TV-I have an Insignia TV-but would not go through my setting to see if this could be improved). The Insignia people were slightly helpful but this issue was never resolved. It is not just with Kinect games; even pinball had a lag despite putting my TV in Game Mode. If you can not go online, you will not get any help. I have had to download controller manuals, instructions and everything else. Despite all these frustrations the Kinect games are fun and the HDMI connection gives beautiful graphics. So Ive just decided to keep the Kinnect and box and live with it, but if you are a real gamer then you better research whether it will work with the TV that you have. I bought Kinect Sports game also.

After 15 Holiday Seasons of being a parent there is finally an all the rage holiday item that has been worth every penny spent. We got this from another vendor as a family holiday gift and we already bestowed it on the family. Weve used 3 of the games on it so far, Harry Potter (Deadly Hallows), Kinect Sports and Kinect Adventures. The system and the games are all wonderful fun and not a single glitch. Kids through older adults, everyone can enjoy this one. Oh one thing to note...the kinect device has to be able to see from the floor to just so far above your head. Depending on how your TV and where you can put the kinect device, you may need to purchase an additional xbox kinect tv bracket for your tv that will allow the kinect device to sit on your t.v. In our metro area the night before Thanksgiving, it was difficult to locate one but we did find it. Also, you have to have 7 feet of space to play well. It says 6, but you need room to move around.

We like this console, but wish it had more apps available. For instance, spotify would be nice.

Gaming system ordered and arrived quickly. Exactly as described. Amazing price and no complaints at all. Took a little patience and determination to get it at the same price that had been offered at the store but well worth it.

I bought this bundle like probably a lot of people to get quick access to some kinect dancing games. I previously owned several xbox 360s that all failed, but I heard they resolved the issue with the latest ones so I gave it a shot. While the kinect and dance central 2 was fun for a while, it wore out its novelty and soon I wanted to start trying out other games. So I figure I can just go pick up some of the big xbox games to play like Halo 4. Its a xbox game, and MS surely wouldnt be stupid enough to sell a ton of consoles that cant actually play their games right? Well thats where I was wrong, because thanks to the paltry 4gb of storage space I couldnt play Halo 4 multiplayer, Mass Effect 3, or any other game that requires enough space for even a moderate sized installation/download. I am told you can get around this by plugging in USB flash drive, but itll get formatted in the process and cant be used for anything else. Nickle-and-diming has always been a MS policy with the controllers still requiring AA batteries instead of anything rechargeable like on competing products. Kind of ridiculous that you cant watch Netflix or Hulu without paying for xbox live, and I wasnt going to pay for Xbox live again when I couldnt even play halo 4 multiplayer. Its true what they say, you get what you pay for, and in this case you get half of the real xbox 360. At this point theres no point in buying a 360 now, not until the prices drop after the new xbox one gets launched. The controller feels nice enough, and it runs quieter than the previous ones, but I still ended up with a console that cant actually do its job. This definitely soured my experience with MS even further, and I would recommend anyone thats checking out the xbox to check out Nintendo or the PS3. Ive personally bought the PS3 after my 4th xbox 360 died of a RROD and I have been much happier for it. The Xbox 360 is a fine platform, and the one to go to if you want action-heavy games like Halo and Gears of War. But Ive found that if you want the real games built around fantastic stories and excellent production values - you have to look at Sony with games like Last of Us and Heavy Rain or Nintendo with classics like Zelda. Based on my long history with Microsoft consoles (owned the first Xbox and now 5 xbox 360s) - steer clear of them until they get their game together. Once they start putting the consumer first again and stop trying to squeeze more money out of you at every turn Ill give them another look. Until then dont bother.

Ill leave the Xbox part out, because we all know that works fine. The Kinect device is an impressive piece of technology that works as advertised, tracking you and putting you in the game. Jump and your character jumps. The only problem I had with it was a dealbreaker though. It requires significantly more space than the minimum. While Microsoft says it will work with 6 feet of space, I had very little luck with 8 feet. If you have a big, open space, this is a great option for you. If youre like most of us, well have to wait for another solution. SUMMARY: Do not buy unless you have 10 feet or more of space. Take width and height of your play area into account as well.

It is wonderful! Everything that I hoped for. I love the way the sensor is able to read your body movements so you do nothave to hold onto anything. The Adventure game is challenging, yet can be played in an easy mode. Good for all abilities. This is the second XBox 360 with Kinect Ive purchased. The first one I gave away as a gift. This one is for me. Ill probably buy another one someday for a gift once my daughter has a place of her own. This is something people of all ages has enjoyed.

The Kinect sensor is not working. Not sure what the problem is yet but, not happy about that.

I bought this bundle from Amazon , when it was available initially , best price ( no tax/no shipping). I really like the XBOX 360 with Kinect . We put the Kinect sensor in front of TV , and it is working great. we have 5 - 7 feet of space from TV to play. Great fun for family . Easy for kids to use. We have good family time. I have tried Wii, and I feel it is much better than Wii.
