> 3 dayWanted to do this for a while, finally got it done. It really quieted down the door action, wife keeps commenting on how nice it is. One issue was that removing and final lower bracket on the door to place the new wheel on it on both sides of the door was a challenge. Getting the bracket back onto the door with the tension from the coil garage door spring made it a different install. All others were as expected, but I thought I was going to have to call a garage door repair company to get that reconnected.

> 3 dayI replaced these wheels in roughly 1/2 hour. As others have said, _dont_ use the bend the rail method. Instead, raise the door, replace the ones on the bottom by taking the bracket off -- on side at a time. Then, lower the door and do the reset -- one at a time. The door is nearly silent going up now, with the only noise caused by a worn-out opener sprocket that is next on the list!

> 3 dayI had to replace my chain drive garage door opener with a new belt drive unit that was very quiet, but then that brought out the creaks and pops in the original steel rollers. I replaced with these nylon rollers and it made it much quieter.

> 3 dayYou can see by the picture how worn out the old 15 year old nylon rollers were on my garage door. They had worn both in width and height. These new Xyte rollers were thicker and taller, so after installing, my garage door was actually binding a bit, denoted by a pop sound when traveling up around the 2/3 up mark. Actually took me a few days to figure out what was causing this. I lubed everything, tightened all the hinge bolts, adjusted the track in and out, etc. Then I noticed when in the down position, there was very little slide for the rollers in the track, so they were binding up. I moved the bottom track out out to about 3/4 of an inch from the door on both sides. Now the thicker, taller, newer rollers had the room they needed to slide back and forth and work properly. I actually need to move it out a little more just to have some insurance, but I have to drill new pilot holes for the lag bolt as the garage door installer didnt give me much to work with. So the rollers themselves appear to be excellent quality. Made in PRC, which I presume to be the peoples republic of china. No complaints at all. Very quiet, and better than my old nylon rollers. Installation. So there are four primary ways to install these. Bending out a piece of the track, getting a roller extractor tool, taking off the hinges for each roller, or taking the bottom track off. I took the bottom track off, one side at a time so the track on the other side would hold the door in place. I first raised the door, them took out the two lag bolts, and the 2 screws in the bracket where the upper and lower track meet. Bracket off. Then I lowered the door, took off the old rollers, and put in the new ones after coating the shafts with some red hi temp grease (I also wadded up a piece of paper towel and forced it through the hinge tube to clean it out). This took care of the bottom four. Then I removed the hinge for the top roller. I have a two track system, nothing like you see on youtube videos. So it was pretty time consuming, but given the state of my old rollers, clearly it needed to be done.
