Love this keyboard. Gives some pop to my desk.

this is a fun little introduction to mechanical keyboards! all mechanical keyboards should be considered a project though (which is the fun part in my opinion). my first order of business is swapping in a few custom key caps, then i’m going to get to work making the clicks sound a little more lower pitch. fun colors and ready out the box, what more could you want for this price?

If you search a base mechanical keyboard (no macro, volume knob, only the base layout) this is a very good option out of the box. The keycaps feel good to touch. The gateron brown switchs give a good feedback. The board is very pretty with his translucent style working very well with the leds to give a nice gamer feel. Sound wise with brown switches, its clacky like you can expect. One downside are the stabilizers of the spacebar. They do not feel on the sides are not very good and sounds kinda bad. Ill probably gonna swap them in the near future. You get tools to remove the keys and a little brush to clean dust. You have different lighting mode (static, wave, rave). You can change the intensity of the leds or shut off the lighting. You do it without using a downloaded software (read the notice).

    Greater than one week

My 11 year old daughter spent her birthday money to buy this keyboard. It looked/felt/typed great for about 7 months and then the lights just stopped working for the keys. Weve tried everything but cant get the key lights working again, though the lights around the border still work. Loved it while it worked but now is just a regular keyboard for an expensive price that cant be used in low light settings. UPDATE: The XVX shop didnt have any hints nor did we see how to contact them, but reading the questions under the product we learned that FN + The backspace key for 5-7 does a factory reset, which caused the lights to start working again.

3 or 4 keys are not working and glitching out sometimes work sometimes not not a total bad keyboard but was expecting much more after i saw the reviews but it is not that bright in real i though it would be more the material is what to be expected from the budget but the most disadvantage is some keys stopping working mid fight

Got this K87 with the Gateron Yellow Linear Switch option (the best of the switches, in my opinion) and have been enjoying this keyboard after some modding (changing keycaps, lubing switches and stabilisers) Out of the box it is a decent keyboard. The large keys (spacebar, shift, enter, backspace) can be a bit noisy due to the stabilizers but that was the only real thing i improved. After lubricating and putting some tape to quiten them and then lubricating the switches, it became a great keyboard even without factoring in the great price! The RGB is smooth and bright. Great animations and customizability. The only thing i can think they can realistically do is provide some larger feet for those that prefer an angled typing surface. I had to purchase some rubber feet seperately to give it a small 6 degree angle. The other thing is that you cant dim the brightness of the outer RGB ring - only the interior section.

Wow I cant describe how amazing this keyboard is! I got the Gateron brown switch and it feels really really nice to type it on. The RGB is absolutely stunning, it creates such a good vibe on your desk!

I am using this keyboard to type this review lol, I have been using this keyboard for about 6 months now and have had 0 issues the LEDS show no sigh of weakness yet. It has a nice weight to it and durability, for the price I have nothing to complain about.

Whats up guys I bought this because of randomfrankP. Its a kickass keyboard. At a kickass price. The keys are quite enough you cant hear them over the mic. Loud enough to still give you that nice click feel. Soft as silk and require less effort to push than a 1 year old learning to walk.

This is a good price for a starter mechanical keyboard. And the fact that its hot-swappable means you can swap out all the parts necessary to make it really shine. The Gateron switches that it comes with arent going to be great and youll probably want to upgrade. Gateron Pro Yellows would be my recommendation for linear switches. The keycaps are technically PBT, but theyre thinner than normal high quality keycaps, and definitely dont feel the same as what Im used to on higher end boards. So I recommend purchasing something else, such as YMDK doubleshot keycaps available here on Amazon. The stabilizers arent great and those can be either lubed/modded or replaced with better stabs. The appearance is very nice, you get to see the RGB LEDs shine through the translucent acrylic material for a unique look. The built in effects are fun to play with and there is apparently software to customize it, but I havent tried that yet as it seems to be more of a hack rather than anything official.
