> 24 hourUsed 5- 6x9x1 ice packs across the bottom and packed the cooler with drinks and snacks. It sat I n the sun, getting opened and closed for 6-8 hrs. Anytime I grabbed a drink during that time, it was perfectly cold! This is easily the best cooler Ive ever owned!

> 24 hourI actually bought this cooler locally at a feed store, was the same price as you can buy it on Amazon.com. Some people compare a Yeti to a cheaper Chinese knock off version but I have to say when people hear that I bought a Yeti their eyes kind of gloss over and most will say, some day Ill have enough money to buy a Yeti. LOL Its up there with the Porsche and Harley Davidson. Sure you can buy cheaper cars, motorcycles and coolers but you are buying into a group of fanatics, just not the same as a Walmart brand cooler LOL.

> 24 hourFirst, a disclaimer. I would not have purchased this product if I didnt have points to knock the price down. This is a premium priced cooler by a long shot and pretty hard to justify if you are comparing to other typical products found in a store. That being said, you will never be disappointed with the performance of the product. Loaded up with ice, the ice will stay frozen for days (like 5 or more). The insulation of the thing is unbeatable. Its built like a tank, and loaded up it is heavy and will take two people to move.

> 24 hourThis thing is incredible. Ice up to 10 days has happened! All these negative reviews have me laughing. Hey guys, it says in the directions that came with the thing to prechill your cooler. Here is a quote from yeti. START WITH A CHILLED COOLER If stored in warm places, a significant amount of ice will be wasted cooling the cooler itself. Preload your cooler a few hours prior to use with a sacrificial bag of ice to cool it down or store it in a cool place before loading it up. This thing is insulated so well that it will trap the heat inside after its been in the garage or car. MAKE SURE YOU PRE COOL IT BEFORE YOU SAY IT IS CRAP. Rant over. I feel much better.

> 24 hourWe purchased this for an extended remote camping trip. Not only is it critter proof, it keeps ice for days. I pre-chilled it the night before our trip with a bag of ice. I also froze the meat we were taking. On the morning of our trip, I filled it up with some drinks and all of our perishables. A six hour drive, an hour boat trip, and five nights later, we still had a lot of ice. The rest of the ice didnt melt until more than two days after we got home. Our other cooler had to be have ice added every day or two. This year we are planning a seven day trip and I am confident the cooler will keep our food fresh and safe. It is a little heavy, probably over 100 pounds when filled, but we managed to get it up a steep little hill to our camping spot. The handles help a lot. This cooler is SOLID! It makes a nice airtight sshh sound when you open or close it. It will last the rest of my life. Quality!
