> 24 hourI wanted to use this to power a vacuum in my workshop. When I try to us it, it shuts off. This happened with my other plugs, but those were only rated for 10 or 15 amps. The circuit is 20 amps, so its not clear why everything works without this smart plug, but not with it. If I get more information, I will update this review.

> 24 hourI use Alexa for everything! Almost all of my lights are pluged into smartplugs so I can voice control them. So many of my older smart plugs are so large they block the second outlet so it cant be used. This mini-plug doesnt! Wasnt too difficult to set up...just downloaded the smart life app and it walked me through connecting it to Alexa. LINKING it to alexa was tricky. Directions werent 100% correct on this. Linking it IN the alexa app did not work with multiple tries, although it looked like it would from reading the prompts. After attempting to link it through the alexa app I went onto the SmartLife app and was able to enable link it there. Hope that helps! I also just suggested this for a friend whose mom has mobility issues. She has difficulty reaching for her bedside light and isnt safe getting up from bed to turn it off to go to bed, and even more so, when getting up during the night!

> 24 hourNeed to install and allow network access to some 3rd party app in order to work with Alexa. Not a fan of installing apps from Chinese companies.

> 24 hourUnlike my other smart plugs rated at 10 and 15 amps, this one has a 20-amp rating which makes it useful for controlling heavier equipment, lighting, and appliances. It also has a very cool unique feature of showing the real time power consumption through the plug when you click the Smart Life “Electric” tab. I have 3 smart plug brands, and none of them has such a high capacity nor the power monitoring. It even knows the month and year and can track ongoing power consumption in KWh. I’m impressed. See the screenshot in my photos. It took just minutes to set up in Smart Life and comes with an English-only instruction folder. It uses only the 2.4 GHz WiFi band and has an excellent sensitive radio which tested well in a poor signal area of my house (-80 dbm). It does not require a strong high speed WiFi signal. It works perfect and easily with Google Assistant via the Home app. Mine is a Google/Android household, so I can only address performance in my setting. I have a lot of smart plugs in my house, so it’s important that the switches themselves don’t draw much parasitic power. This one appears to draw only about 0.3W when on and unmeasurable power when off. You can operate the plug manually with its button, which glows blue when off and blue/red when on. The circular round plug is larger than my lower rated ones and partially blocks the adjacent power outlet where you can still use a two prong non-ground plug but not a 3 prong. With its high current rating and highly unique power monitor feature, this plug gets my best 5-star recommendation.
