19-11-2024Save your money and find a better solution than this easy plug in. Bought 3 of these units. All are about the same distance from VERA, but Z-Wave should nullify distance anyway. Two work 95% of the time when they maintain their VERA connection. The third unit loses its VERA connectivity like clockwork 4-6 x every day. So it is a crap shoot whether or not my programmed scenes will run. I am going to replace it with a direct wired duplex receptacle.

> 3 dayThis does work in Hubitat as of April 2022. Make sure to follow the instructions to set the min/max value, or your lights will be dimmer than normal.

Greater than one weekIm using this Z-Wave outlet switch in a Smartthings system. Everything works perfectly and it was easy to install. Ive got this on a garage outlet I use to charge an ebike battery. Since the battery charger is cheap, I dont trust it not to overcharge to battery once the charging is complete so I use the Smartthings panel to tell the outlet to turn off x number of hours after I start the charge. I prefer Z-Wave devices like this as opposed to Wi-Fi. For me they are much more reliable and easier to install into my system. I also dont like having to have separate apps for each brand device. With Z-Wave, my Smartthings app controls everything and I can easily access my devices from Google Home as well.

> 3 dayI’m using two of these. I’ve connected them, to my 4G backed security System what supports Z-wave. Now I can reboot my modem and my router remotely, in case they don’t respond anymore, when I’m not home. Works for what I wanted it for.

> 3 dayIm replacing this with a Leviton DZPD3-2BW Decora Smart Plug-in Dimmer. This one will not correctly dim or achieve settings from my Smart Things hub. My whole house is set up on various smart dimmers and this is the only one that is doing this. I tried to save a little money over the Leviton and this plan failed, per usual. To be specific, this dimmer jumps around randomly on dimmer settings when Im trying to set dim level through my Smart Things app. I try to set the dimmer on 10% and it jumps back up to 37%, etc. Also, I have the dimmer set to turn on at 10% at 10:30AM, comes on at 3%, just whatever it feels like at the moment. Also dimmer is set to turn off at midnight, wont do it. Stays on, but turns down to 3%. Okay, whatever. I will say in its favor, that the dimming of my Soraa LED spots is smooth and flicker-free, which is something. And if I mess around with it long enough I can get it to stay set on a certain dim level. But my whole idea here is to make things automatic, so, no.

> 3 dayThis outlet can accommodate two plugs, one is wirelessly controlled and the other is always on. It was easy to pair this with my SmartThings hub and give it a name (in our case, Christmas Tree). Then, all I had to do was set up a Smart Lighting automation to have the outlet deliver power to the Christmas lights on the tree during a specific timeframe, and then shutoff at night. As a bonus, with the SmartThings/Alexa integration, I am also able to control the outlet by voice.
