> 3 dayI was suspicious that this thing wasnt heating up my 10 gallon terrarium much. The dark rocks I put under it werent really warm to the touch. I got an infrared gun, and sure enough, its raising the temperature of a rock below it maybe a few degrees, say up from 72 to 76 F. Really weak compared to the advertisements of the halogen bulb (sold separately) claiming 90 F. Meanwhile, the fixture itself gets to 120 F. So theres plenty of heat being generated, but most of it stays in the fixture, probably eroding the lifespan of the UVB bulb.

> 3 dayThank you for this fixture! Have used Fluker brand fixture since we got our beardie. That fixture is expensive and not well made, also very large two lights. This fixture combines heat and UVB. Its light weight, all in one and low profile too. Seems well made too! Highly recommend!

> 3 dayAbsolutely did not change the temperature in our enclosure no heat close to the 50 watt bulb when you put your hand close to it. Spoke with manufacturer at length and they said this is often a problem and that I should buy something different. This is very frustrating since I had to buy two additional bulbs to go with this fixture.

Greater than one weekI have 2, 1 that Ive had for years and liked, but recently I purchased a second and it appears to have a short and either burns out bulbs or just wont turn them on, the halogen part appears to be working fine. Im questioning the quality given a 50/50 experience now with them.
