Screen works great for my bearded dragon. the exact measurement of lid is 48.5 x 13.5. the didnt make that very clear in description. Someone said the middle was plastic and paint flaked off from heat but i have no such problems. Its all metal and no paint loss yet!

I converted my 55 gallon fish tank into a new home for my Syrian hamster. This hinged cover fit perfectly. It arrived on time and was not dented or bent at all.

I love the hinged style because I dont have to move the light to feed my turtle. Good quality and just as described.

Updated: The new one (returned 1st) arrived in perfect shape and I think it may be because of a different box that was used for packaging. This one came in a less wide box which meant that the screen arrived folded by the hinge. This perhaps made the screen less susceptible to bending compared to its flatly packaged counterpart. VERDICT: order it twice at max ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Only a few of the Covers arrived bent out of shape according to the reviews So I tried my luck thinking that I would not be one of those minorities. FALSE! It arrived bent on one of the long sides. Keep in mind that if there is even a small bend it will make the cover useless as the cover will arc up and not be able to cover the tank. The reason for it arriving like that is MAINLY due to the poor packaging. It only came wrapped in bubble wrap in a flat long box. This is not enough for a flimsy piece of covering. IT NEEDS STYROFOAM. This is because it is thrown with other shipments that may weigh more and cause the flimsy steel to bend. Also, I ordered this during one of the worst times in America when it comes to temperature. That makes me wonder how much in a hurry the packaging and delivery staff was when doing their jobs and how they could have easily mishandled the box. Even so, I have been given the refund and will order another one. I will update this review to four stars if it arrives intact only because

Had an old 10 gallon aquarium than I cleaned and made into a terrarium for my 2 Emperor Scorpions. Needed a lid that had easy access to the tank. This lid fits well and the ease of access is great. Great price, fast shipping.

The screen came extremely bent on both ends and now doesn’t fit well with the hinges on the tank. Should have been labeled fragile

I received the item damaged due to poor packaging. I managed to make it work however. Customer service was very helpful when presented with the shipping disaster and offered to replace it. The item itself was somewhat cheaply made. It didnt quite fit and was somewhat flimsy but for the price, it was ok.

It was perfect. The lid is not a tight fitting lid but that wasn’t what I needed. The mesh is a firm metal grate, not a flimsy mesh like a screen for a window. The frame is also a sturdy metal. No complaints

A lot of these reviews speak tot he poor quality of the packaging. I can attest to that, as its essentially a deconstructed box with no padding, no foam, nothing. Flat things crinkle, and this cage is a thin metal. But I cant blame the product for that, its the sellers fault. [Natural Dog and Cat was mine] I ordered it for my rat home, a large aquarium with a plastic lip. The cover fits snugly, slightly pinching the walls, providing a bit of a weak clamp so it stays. Airflow is great, the quality is decent, but I bought it for its price, so Im greatly satisfied, and so are my rats. [so far the screen seems to be doing very well in denying their attempts to pop it out and escape]
