This works really well for what i needed. My turtle loves it!

works well for turtle, light does have two electrical cords which makes it awkward to use with the light stand. You have to use twist ties to hold cords in place, hooks on stand not large enough for both cords. Zoo Med will have to rethink design.

Purchased this with the Zoo Med Reptile Lamp Stand (full size) and couldnt be more pleased. Our RES turtle loves the heat lamp for basking and benefits from the necessary UVB light. A great purchase having a dual lamp instead of trying to hang 2 different fixtures, which is not aesthetically pleasing. Each lamp has its own switch and they can both be on at the same time. Lamp covers have small vent holes to allow for heat to dissipate. Very well manufactured with a fair price. Cheaper than local pet stores. UL listed so it is electrically sound. I highly recommend for all reptile homes. 100% pleased! Delivery was speedy and packaged well.

Bought this to light a 40 gallon RES tank. +2 stars for concept: I really wanted to like this combo lamp. Its a great idea, offering a simple, all-in-one solution to your lighting worries. It comes basically as described and is from a company with a seemingly good reputation. The bulbs fit in the fixture and didnt stick out at all. And while it was working, our turtle did bask a lot. -2 stars for execution: The product seems to be faulty. As others have mentioned, the UVB bulb (which according to the package should last for a year) was out in less than a month. I cant say if it was the bulb or the fixture, but since most other reviewers with this problem said it happened to multiple bulbs, my guess is the fixture and I dont want to risk wasting money burning through expensive bulbs to find out for myself. -1 star for unclear advertising: The bulbs are too weak for larger tanks. The 50w heat lamp doesnt bring larger tanks up to ideal basking temp. Wish this had been specified before purchase. For a two-light setup, I suggest just getting 2 domes, a UVB bulb, and a heat lamp separately. That way you can customize to your turtles specific environment. Returned this product.

The uvb light doesn’t work, but the heat lamp does. The product is good other than that.

The switches in these are often bad. Old lights kept going on and off, so I bought a new set, and fresh out of the box, the UVB light flickered and went out. Tested the bulb and it was good. The socket runs all the lights on a timer and everything is working except this light. Seemed to be in the switch, so on a hunch we removed the switch and hard wired to just stay on and let the timer do the on/off. Now it works fine, but this shouldnt be necessary.

Great purchase! A must have for turtles. It provides the perfect amount of heat and necessary UVB lighting. Our turtle loves basking under this lamp!

1 switch was broke And literally started throwing sparks so we are not using at all!! Do not recommend
