Zoo Med Aquatic Turtle UVB Heat Lighting Kit

The switches in these are often bad. Old lights kept going on and off, so I bought a new set, and fresh out of the box, the UVB light flickered and went out. Tested the bulb and it was good. The socket runs all the lights on a timer and everything is working except this light. Seemed to be in the switch, so on a hunch we removed the switch and hard wired to just stay on and let the timer do the on/off. Now it works fine, but this shouldnt be necessary.

Exactly as described, works great and the turtle loves it !

I’ve used this for less than 10 days and the splash guard came unglued. It does not provide basking temp for a 40 gallon aquarium

The only issue I found was that one of the light bulbs stuck out farther than the dome itself. i have mine hanging about the turtle tank but that could become an issue later on down the road if I needed to set it on a screen or something. Other then that, this is a wonderful product and the price was really good compared to the other pet stores that I looked at.

Satisfied with product out of the box. Wont know about the longevity of the product for a while though.

Just what we needed.

Ive been using this lamp less than two months and one of the cords is already shorting out. Started with the light flickering and then started hearing a popping noise where the switch is located. Unplugged and quit using before it caught my house on fire...

As soon as we installed the bulbs in proper placement and plugged it in, the bulb shorted out and put off a strong smell. I previously purchased this same item and it worked perfectly until it was accidentally broken. I’m not sure if it’s the seller but I am seriously disappointed. I’m going to have to BUY another bulb and try it. Which means it’s costing me more. I won’t buy this from a seller again!
