Zoo Med Hermit Soil Coconut Fiber Brick 650g

Bought this as a mixture for the hermit crabs along with hermit crab sand and after its soaked and run out and works really good plus they love to bury themselves in it.

You get like three times the amount but I would get two of these for a ten gallon tank thank goodness I bought three!

The crabs love it. We have 5 and the all buried themselves and molted for a month as soon as I put it in. The love to dig. Have a big bucket to mix. It grows 5 times its size.

Our hermit crabs bury themselves in this mulch. Make sure to follow directions exactly, and your crabs will be really happy!

Our hermit crabs couldnt be happier in their habitat. This bock of coconut soil gave them the amount of soil they needed. Its durable, just dont let any food left over fall on it without cleaning it, because it can cause some form of mold... otherwise, no issues whatsoever with the product. Id buy it again.

Get a lot of bedding for aquarium, to change 3 times.

My daughters hermit crab seemed depressed the last 6 months we have had him, we have had him for 9 months all together. Not really knowing how hermit crabs are actually supposed to live we picked him up on a beach vacation with gravel and a small tank. Well I noticed he would just sit in his corner constantly the last 6 months and never come out ever only to eat and drink, and was quick to hide away. I bought a hut for him to hide under but he still hid back in that one corner. Poor crab was stressed. It was time to do something new. I bought this stuff, little bit larger cage and I’ve never seen him move around and dig so much. He is happy! He has dug all kinds of holes and he even uses his hut now to burrow in. I’m glad i did research and I bought this stuff.

I love that it holds so much moisture, but keeps the habitat from developing mold or mildew. I will probably order more soon!
