Learning a new craft

I bought this for a different reason than most. I have some neighborhood squirrels that I feed and who come visit. It gets pretty cold in winter here, so I bought some wool to help them so they could insulate their nests. I chose wool cause it said it had antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, would keep warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and would insulate even when wet, among other things. I left chunks of wool out for them - the first few days, they didnt take it, probably not sure what it was for, but when it really started to get cold, they gladly snatched up all the wool left out for them. We had a really cold winter last winter, where we even had -40 degree for 3 weeks straight so Id like to think the wool helped keep them warm and survive the winter because the same ones have returned to visit. Its not quite cold out yet, but Ive started to put some wool out for them again and they are happily carrying it away with them already.

Filling for felt animals

Good price and will last forever! Felts very well. I did think it smelled a bit, but it wasnt a deal breaker for me. This was my first time buying wool so Im not sure how it SHOULD smell.

i am fairly new at needle felting and am extremely satisfied with the quality of this wool roving. it is very soft, clean and very easy to work with. when i started to use it i couldnt stop! i would highly recommend it to those who are beginners as well as advanced in this craft. you get a lot of quality wool for the money. i look forward to reordering when i complete the order i recently received. i am also a knitter so i appreciate the quality of excellent wool!

Be careful to watch the description as the amount changes depending on what type/color of wool. I was extremely disappointed to receive 4oz when I thought Id ordered 8oz, because I ordered a different color/type of wool without realizing it was more expensive (and far less useful, unfortunately). Live and learn.
