These charcoal pouches work great. I mainly use them for deodorizing shoes, particularly house slippers. I had a pair that was two years old and they were ripe. I put two pouches in each shoe, after a few days the order was gone. I have another pair also, so I can alternate wearing each pair. At night when I take them off to sleep, I will place the pouches back in the shoes till morning. This product has taken the odor away, and has kept the odors from coming back. Since I am retired, I dont go out much, so I wear house shoes more than I do casual shoes. These pouches stops odors from occuring in the casual shoes in the first place. I only wear them a couple hours at a time just a couple a days a week. As long as you activate them as described in the instructions, they should work for anyone. I highly recommend these for anyone that need to remove odors from shoes.

I have purchased these before. They are very effective for smelly sneakers and shoes. And since they can be recharged in the sun make an efficient and cost effective option.

THE REASON I BOUGHT THESE WAS THAT WE HAVE A REALLY BAD PROBLEM WITH DUST IN. OUR HOUSE AND WE ARE VERY ALLERGIC TO DUST. WHAT A BLESSING! I AM STILL AMAZED THAT WHERE EVER I PUT THESE NEAR ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT, IT DO NOT HAVE DUST. THEY HAVE BEEN IN PLACE IN SOME AREAS FOR OVER THREE WEEKS AND NO DUST HAS SHOWN UP YET. WOW! WHAT A RELIEF.

They headline explains the basis of my review - youll get the best results when leaving in direct sunlight for a long duration. Also doesnt do much to substitute the scent for something more pleasurable, just makes it less intense. Would suggest a fabric spray to add fragrance after use.

So I keep a few pairs of hiking shoes in the car so that I can disappear into the forest whenever I want. Of course that leaves the used hiking shoe smell. These bags are the perfect size to throw into each shoe to help eliminate the smell. So far, seems to work well.
